Does a queen beat 4 hellions now that it cannot be kited? That would be insane. I'm sure it kills 2 hellions which is also stupid if you look at the costs.

Hey guys, just to verify:
Korean casters, of course, are very good and skilled.
BUT. Its a different product. A script + 3 casters, and a set way to do things.
English commentary is thought up on the spot with 2 casters.
Korean commentators, over all, are analytically superior to most English commentary.
Different production values, styles, etc.
Stop with the crazy posts + drama pls, thanks!

Hahah, Artosis' face was hilarious when JP told him to unmute and he was about to type into his chat, before he realised JP was trolling him
on the topic of drama, wonder how long it'll take before it starts driving people away from the community, would really hate to see that happening - (might already happen with spectators but I mean community figures)

It's also worth noting that it's an indirect nerf to reactor hellion into cloaked banshees, which relies in part on doing some extra damage to the queens with your initial hellions.

:D <3 S2 So nowadays we are all paying more and more to watch; why are we not seeing a increase in production value in one of the most important parts for the viewer, the commentary?
Nearly everyone agreed after watching the subbed Korean commentary it was better, Why can't English commentary have the same effort put into it as Korean commentary?
We realise they are different, but why should they be? Why should English commentary be inferior? (Which in most peoples views, it is.)

They talked about this during the show, there's many leagues all around the world and only like 3 or 4 casters get universal positive feedback. They agreed most casters need to work harder, the production value is up to the leagues to implement and not them.

I missed it! When are the vods usually up, since SOTG uses youtube and not twitchtv for vods.

Speaking strictly for myself here:
I disagree that the Korean commentary experience is better. I actually do really love it, but at the same time, I really enjoy the freestyle banter between commentators. Examples: Doa + KevinKnocke, MrBitter + Rotterdam, etc.
You are stating these things as if they are facts. Its opinions. Different != worse. Different != better.

? English speaking commentaries for major tournaments have gotten better with experience. I don't understand this point. Korean commentary seem better from a subbed context because of years of experience and production (Yes, even GOM. They had GSLs before the whole SC2 thing) But the English speaking commentaries have made strides in major ways. Of course, I still prefer the Korean commentary more, but that's because it's my native tongue, not because it's inferior in any way. The only thing I would say is inferior is the 'level of excitement one brings about with words', but that's a language difference, nothing more.

Grass is greener is all I can say when people want "better" casting.
I love the mix between banter and insight you and Tasteless provide to the community. I personally sometimes just want to relax while watching SC and don't want to think very hard about what is going on so to get both is really nice.
I think its the same reason some people want korean style casting is the same reason some people Kpop and hate american pop. It is exotic and different and people like it when things are different. They think that the other thing is better than what they have (in this case korean casting vs nonkorean casting).
I think it might be influenced by the fact that korean players are put on a pedestal and this same mystique might be getting transferred to the korean casters as well.
