Really sir? I have never seen iNcontroL post anything that was not helpful to the community and in anyway only promote himself. Btw, epic hosting iNcontroL and great show. That was the best one I have seen yet.

lol people don't like nani not because he's swedish, it's because he acts like prick.
"prick" or just not caring much about playing the we-are-a-happy-family-game. yes, that can be seen as anti-social given the standards of the majority of people. it is anti-social in the strict sense of him prioritizing his game over everything else. it's not like he doesn't need other human beings to interact with. He seems to get along with the ST team pretty well, and misses no opportunity to thank them for hosting and helping him. He considers SaSe as one of his best friends, and bonded with Khaldor. And not to forget Artosis.
To put it blunt, he might be thinking "I'm here to win games, not make friends". In contrast to Stephano's "I want to have fun before I leave" and Sheth's "Let's all be happy". Since he obviously already has contacts that satisfy his social needs and/or are beneficial to his goals, any additional effort can be seen as distraction from the game. Sure it's a higher moral road to sustain a certain level of decency towards everybody. But from early childhood to adult work life, I reckon everybody has these acquaintances that they never really cared about. When I see somebody on the street I remotely know, I sometimes don't even bother to greet them. Should I? Or how happy I was to finally leave high school and its unnecessary drama and closeness of the inner circle to finally meet a bunch of people that were interesting to me in the open world.
With things not being black and white, there are always varying levels of interaction one can deem worthy of investing. It is safe to assume that Naniwa is failing to gauge a productive balance. It also doesn't excuse his weak judgment of stepping on other's courtesy. I hope he grows in that department, but I certainly can understand him not wanting to participate in the giant circlejerk that is SC2. Especially given the mentality of "if you are not with us, you are against us"
When said somebody comes up to gratulate you on an accomplishment of yours, you absolutely should.
Otherwise, do as you please, it's not like anyone is criticizing Naniwa for not running around making friends with everyone.

Genuinely I don't like to make assumptions without the details but based off Naniwa's and Huk's recent feud I'm going to go ahead and guess that it's highly likely that Johan has some bad blood with EG. (Whether or not it's justified I cannot say)
With that being said I'm pretty disappointed with how vocal they were against Naniwa, like him or not it's rather harsh to harass and to a lesser degree bully him in such an exposed environment. It's unfortunate because most of the viewers and listeners are going to take what they said without a grain of salt and formulate opinions on the guy without him being able to even defend himself. As a long time fan and supporter of Naniwa it saddens me to see him view Americans as purely haters when their are truly a vast amount of loyal fans, I just hope he gets the chance to read the good posts every now and then.
On a side note for any of you ASOIAF fans (Game of Thrones) will know that NaNiwa being deemed the "Kingslayer" means
there is much more then meets the eye and underneath this tarnished image of his it there is a truly bad ass, intricate and redeemed individual waiting for his chance to show the world of his true nature

Regarding the Naniwa bashing. I'd heard about it before watching the SOTG, so I was kind of cringing in expectation of what they'd say.
I see why the topic was brought up, as it's always popcorn worthy when there's drama between players. I too disagree with talking shit about someone who's not there to defend themselves, but I thought I sensed something else between the lines in the talk about Naniwa.
Sure, inControl told a couple episodes of his own and 2GD's interactions with Naniwa at DH, but (correct me if I'm wrong) it almost felt like he did this in a tone that hinted that Nani is a total bad-ass who is so different from most people that he becomes fascinating. And it sounded like there was some respect there too? It seemed to me like, between the lines, they spoke of Naniwa as a phenomenon, something that adds spice to the scene. Something I think everyone agree is a positive thing within reason.
The rumor about him threatening to kill a tournament admin is, I'm sure, also adding to that somewhat "dangerous" image of Naniwa, adding to the fascination. I think one needs to be careful there though, as we're talking about a legally offensive action and unless it's somehow obvious or proven what happened, we shouldn't add to speculations.
I'd like to add that it was quite cool to hear the panel's GSL predictions and the respect they have for Naniwa as an SC2 player. Someone even predicted him to win the whole thing? Was hard to hear with the jumbled mics who it was. In any case, I think the secret for Naniwa will be to relax about it and feel like an underdog against his opponents. Just like how Thorzain likes it. That's how our Swedish soccer and hockey teams like to think as well before the big tournaments where they then proceed to do really well. And when they go in as favourites they fail hard.

I tend to agree with you. I was just pointing out that the criticism he recieved was not based on him not walking up to people he barely knows to make friends, but that he blows of people trying to be nice.
But of course there is still another side of the story and without having Artosis there jumping to is defense, it would've been an annoying and very one-sided bullying imo.

Anyway... Great show as always, guys
THIS. I swear, listening to him in Swedish was like listening to a whole new person. Has been a NaNi fan for a long time but he seemed a lot more calculated and smart when speaking Swedish. I think he also is a person who trolls a lot and trolling in a language you don't fully master can often result in huge misunderstandings. Just my five cents tho. Anyway good show but would be better without the whole "talking crap about a person who isn't there" thing
