There are people who say the contrary aswell, such as Sase and Artosis. I'm not saying he's the coolest guy ever to hang out with but I don't think he's like that with EVERYBODY.
EDIT: And appearently Tyler aswell .

Most people who are regarded in this way aren't like that to everyone... This should be a basic fundamental truth about people, I know a lot of assholes--many of them are very kind to me. This does not make them not an asshole though, this just makes them not an asshole to me. I think that difference can be recognizable and understood, that a square is a rectangle but a rectangle is not a square--people can be assholes but that person isn't necessarily always an asshole?
Someone's reputation is built from their own actions--even Huk has a history of being kind of an asshole, so does Idra, shit so do I, people can't be nice 100% of the time (except for this one dude I used to play WoW with, all he did was be happy and nice to everyone and you felt fucking awesome talking to him because he made you feel great about yourself).
I think at it's core it's more that Naniwa is just fairly socially awkward and emotional and it's easy to perceive that as being an asshole sometimes (because it's generally either awkward behavior or rude behavior associated with that). I don't think he thinks terribly hard about what he says sometimes and is unaware that sometimes what he says can be hurtful or very rude to another person.
I think to some degree he's working on that, much like most people who don't realize how important what they say is to others at first, there's this period of [Ongoing Shitstorm] followed by [Boiling Shitstew] and over the course it just sort of goes away. He seems to be making an effort to tone it back and recognize that his words carry actual weight to people.

Progamers always shrug off criticisms by stating that those who make them are simply jealous of their life. I wonder if some of the criticism of Naniwa can be explained in the same way?
Please take a sharpie and underline the word "some" in the previous sentence on your computer screen.

I think some of Naniwas awkwardness comes from the fact that his english is a bit lacking. Naniwa always appeard a bit weird to me until i recently watched an interview in swedish by Rakaka. I was completely blown away by how different he came across, he was much more well spoken and coherent as opposed to some of his english interviews. But thats just a theory.
Anyway... Great show as always, guys

Poor excuse. Many koreans speak 0 english at all and don't come off the way Naniwa does.

you say "unlike you who actually know him" ... do you "actually know him?"

A lot of people say Naniwa is hard to get along with.

Unless you speak Swedish, Korean, and English you can hardly disprove his point.

Its prolly not an excuse but there is no denying the fact that, for most people, its much easier to express themselves in their native language

It always seemed like Naniwa was a little lacking in picking up on some social cues and was slightly awkward but he honestly seems like a good guy who's loyal to his friends and very determined to do his best. He seems to rub some people the wrong way and the probe rush was a little silly but I think he's honestly a good person.

You are basing that from hearsay from Incontrol which may or may not be true.

that's because for some reason koreans speaking enlgish seems to be entertaining for a lot of people, doesn't matter what they say. (see: MC casting at ipl4 or anywhere)

Wait, so now we just assume Incontrol is lying? Trolol, you have to be kidding me.
Naniwa is a dick to some people, but he's nice to others. All of us are that way, I assure you. Even Sheth admits that he's not nice all the time, and can be an ass at times. Why that dichotomy is apparently hardcore exhibited in Naniwa is beyond us unless we ask him personally (and apparently in Swedish), but where you land on the matter is valid either way. Either you like him for being a dick, you like him for being good at the game, you like him for both reasons, or you hate him for either of those reasons.
It's the same for MC, Incontrol, HuK, Idra, everyone in the pro scene. Hell, casters even. It might be time to calm down and accept that some people don't like when people are assholes to their favorite players.
Then again, "It might be time to calm down" never really works. Especially when you've gotten to the point of challenging Incontrol, a very well liked and trusted member of the community, and calling him a liar.

Why do you even care if he's a nice person to hang out with?
As if he'd give any of you guys the time of the day...

What was the reason for Day9 not being on the show? It couldn't of been daily as it was EU week.

Well the only one who can clear that up is Hellspawn whom supposedly recieve those threats.
I don't know who to believe but it is quite a severe accusation to make and one would think there would have been at least some mention of it on Rakaka since Hellspawn is a writer there.

Great show, I kinda like the format of not having complete regulars, but just having SC2 people on for a chat.
