He just says the truth. Just like your dear idra. Double standard much?
Huk acts like a prick more than Naniwa who cleaned up his act. Double standard much?

Can someone post when they talk about Naniwa please?
EDIT: It starts at 2:05

I think MC needs to get over Naniwa's probe rush "BM" and HuK needs to accept there are other foreigner protosses as good/or better than him. It's clearly all an ego thing from both of them. It's clearly because they don't get along with him. Countless people have stated that Naniwa is an oddball IRL. It's simple, if you don't like someone of course you are going to talk down their success.

"prick" or just not caring much about playing the we-are-a-happy-family-game. yes, that can be seen as anti-social given the standards of the majority of people. it is anti-social in the strict sense of him prioritizing his game over everything else. it's not like he doesn't need other human beings to interact with. He seems to get along with the ST team pretty well, and misses no opportunity to thank them for hosting and helping him. He considers SaSe as one of his best friends, and bonded with Khaldor. And not to forget Artosis.
To put it blunt, he might be thinking "I'm here to win games, not make friends". In contrast to Stephano's "I want to have fun before I leave" and Sheth's "Let's all be happy". Since he obviously already has contacts that satisfy his social needs and/or are beneficial to his goals, any additional effort can be seen as distraction from the game. Sure it's a higher moral road to sustain a certain level of decency towards everybody. But from early childhood to adult work life, I reckon everybody has these acquaintances that they never really cared about. When I see somebody on the street I remotely know, I sometimes don't even bother to greet them. Should I? Or how happy I was to finally leave high school and its unnecessary drama and closeness of the inner circle to finally meet a bunch of people that were interesting to me in the open world.
With things not being black and white, there are always varying levels of interaction one can deem worthy of investing. It is safe to assume that Naniwa is failing to gauge a productive balance. It also doesn't excuse his weak judgment of stepping on other's courtesy. I hope he grows in that department, but I certainly can understand him not wanting to participate in the giant circlejerk that is SC2. Especially given the mentality of "if you are not with us, you are against us"

stc has always struggled with consistency. the only surprising results there is beating hero and mkp. huks pvp has always done well against mc, who is a much better player. probab;y due to practising together.

no, thats not true. i can see that naniwa would be hard to get a long with but trashing him in an interview makes people like huk and mc just as unlikable. when professional players put others success down to luck or whatever its just sad, anyone can find results of any player where they dont deserve a win, or got a surprising result. its pathetic to try and call out 1 player on that.

Why is it hard for you to understand that Naniwa is just a dick in real life? There's so many players/personalities who have attested to this (Idra, Incontrol, 2GD, Huk, MC, Painuser, Sjow, Complexity employees, MVP employees, Dignitas Employees, Wolf, Hellspawn). He is just a guy who lacks even the most basic of social graces. If you want to like him anyway because of his ability at Starcraft then go for it, but the massive, overwhelming evidence of people who, unlike you, actually know him makes it really, really clear that he is just an ass outside of the game. I don't know why you're attempting to deny this.

It was indeed one of the best episodes so far, would been the best if Sean had been there when they talked about the BW stuff imo... I only wish this show to be consistently again, love the show keep it up guys!

Even if Naniwa is an ass, there is no need to lower to his level. Also, I feel like Naniwa has been trying lately to be a bit more subtle about it. I mean, this harsh, direct side is also a part of his personality and I think that people are calling him out on it far too hard. Disagree with his behavior, but send him a mail or something, don't start ripping on him on air.
I really did not expect this from InControl. Especially since a couple of episodes ago he said he was giving Naniwa advice on how to act in public. And usually at least when he is harsh, it serves a function (Humor), but now, meh, there was nothing enjoyable about that part of the show.

Naniwa is a legit player and a better and better human being. People should stop being so hursh on him.
MC loves Huk and is easy to share his opinion. Huk is just jelly.
Idra should look in the mirror from time to time because he might see a Naniwa in there.

I admit I giggled when ThorZain said "To get a desk? Big investment?" in the discussion about MLG arena. It would've been even better if he had added something like "You know I'm from IKEA-land right?".

Who fucking cares if Naniwa is an asshole, it's not like we're in kindergarten where everybody has to hold hands, god I hate how everybody is expected to be little choir girl prisses, grow the fuck up people, everyones personality is different.

as a huge Steelers fan ...
I would never expect a jerome bettis reference on SOTG
major props incontrol

Regardless of whether it was unfair bullying or whatever, I found it pretty funny, particularly the 2GD story.
I have to say, I find it very strange that people are somehow criticising SotG for criticising Naniwa with the "Not everyone has to be nice!" argument. If that's the case, SotG did nothing wrong anyway.

Dunno if this has been pointed out so far but my main issue with the production of SotG right now is Incontrol's mic. The fact that his webcam is blurry doesn't really impact me but his mic's general sound quality is pretty bad, and on top of that if others speak (or laugh) while he is saying something, the sound from Geoff's mic goes out completely. It's quite annoying especially when he's making jokes etc.
Anyways, great show, looking forward to the next one

You just heard that he was being stupid in Dreamhack with several people.
And what else do you expect from Incontrol? He said that he had to block(?) Naniwa on Twitter because he was being harassed from him.

i find these naniwa stories really funny and doesnt make him anymore dislikable then before.

I dunno, I guess lately is a broad term :p. It is actually funny that he had to block him, now I am curious what Naniwa said to InControl to get blocked ^.^.
