This would be the perfect opportunity to just do a BW SotG and give a bit of a history lesson for all the SC2 players who never really kept up with it or haven't played it at all. im all for a bw sotg, but why rag on jp for doing his job and keeping the discussion in a sc2 podcast about sc2? its like bitching about the GSL not having any bw games.

I know he doesnt deserve to get flamed that much but he really needs to start listening to us instead of ignoring our criticism, we are trying to help him but he doesnt seem to be listening to most of the comments.

Why did you even type this? He never said that Brood War was irrelevant or anything. What are you trying to get at by quoting that line, and making that statement?

Also JP please I have two requests of you, the first being: please continue in the vein of the last two shows in regards to your music choice for commercials. They have been spectacular. Second, if you could find it in your heart to just create some kind of show segment called like "crotchety old players telling kids to get off their lawns" where everybody can just kind of bullshit about bw nostalgia for 15 or 20 minutes every show I would probably give you three hugs.

He just doesn't realize boxer isnt someone because of broodwar - he is someone because of what he represents, his personality and passion. I cant say i even fully know it, but hell he has his own team even. How is that not relevant to sc2? he is a huge influence to players and viewers alike. I would ignore his ignorance on the matter. No boxer would mean less talent in the pool. I mean look at mma ganzi and ryung, they always give props to boxer and for good reason.

I mean, it's not like you have to play BW or had to be part of the scene to enjoy the stories from back then. The show's been on tonight for what, 2 1/2 hours? Some of the hosts certainly have things to do - it's 2AM EST right now. BW talk could easily go on for ages and is clearly off topic beyond a few comments tied back directly into SC2 - the topic of the show. Sure, there are a lot of people who would be interested in them, (I would sure as hell love to have these old stories told somewhere) but this is not supposed to be an evening of bw buddies reminiscing about times past. It's an easy line for JP to draw to help keep the show length reasonable, whereas it's not so easy probably for him to put his foot down to close any of the other varied tangents that get started on the show.
