its funny how 2-3 months ago in beta, we were having these exact same conversations with Terran being weak, and zerg being "overpowered"..

Not to say terran doesnt need some nerfs, they do, but I dont think its as bad as people make it out to seem.

Weak argument, complaining Racial imbalances in a game that's few months old is simply hilarious. The fact that having sponsored players in a premature game is simply contradictory.

The whole competitive SC2 hype is simply laughable, it took Brood Wars years to balance it out with Kespa maps and become competitive.

People are just rushing to be good in SC2 and think they'll become the next Boxer in SC2 since it's new. What a bunch of egocentric idiots.

SC2 still needs a lot to work (possibly expansions) to live up the hype of its predecessor's sequel.

well, if flash played sc2 he would probably not drop a single game to anyone ever, even if jaedong also switched. I for one don't think defending reaper harass will get easier the better control both players have.

terran is just infinitely easier, wall-offs, switching add-ons around, forgiving macro mechanic and endless harass options (while you sit comfortable behind a wall of buildings/tanks maybe a bunker and a turret, no fear of any counter-attack, or your ground force getting overwhelmed because you opted for air)

they only thing they have to worry about is a baneling bust (lol) which is stopped with a single scan.

Zerg can win, it just requires double the amount of effort on behalf of the zerg player to win, and he isn't alotted as many "mistakes" before it's game over.

Playing zerg is kind of like racing a skyline in your moms civic.

In my opinion ppl are failing to see the whole picture here... I won't talk about Terran's Mech because i'm only a platinium level zerg and i might be wrong, but i've been playing as Terran and their macro is just way easier... You can't get good results as T if you are not good... but you can get better results if you are AS good as your oponent.... Every single player has limited resources (call them APM) if you need to spend 50% of your actions on your macro you are losing those actions on your micro. And that hurts like hell, specially when you are playing at the very best lvl when a single mistake can make you lose the match. I can only think 1 thing that it's easier for Z compared to T and that it's unit replenishment (Zergs are able to stock larvae for later use). But that rarely makes any difference when playing at high lvl (i might be wrong).

Well from watching his turtle play and never leaving his base. It does seem terran would be a better fit for that style of play.

1. "It is not that X is OP, X just attracts a more mature and skilled player."

Dimaga is such a good player, but his playstyle is so damn hard for Zerg. He really wants to do some crazy stuff as Zerg. He literally throws down his opening tech without giving too much heed to the other player unless its some crazy proxy or cheese. 1 Basing as a Zerg is just so gangster, but it's insane to try to do it at the highest levels of competition. I don't know how his heart can take it.

Dimaga would be doing alot better with Zerg if he would stop doing all in strategies or atleast had an economic follow through to his innovative openings.

his problem seem to be the maps. He was playing standard on BS and Metalo, but allined on LT and SoW which are obviously unfair for Zerg

Mutas were not denied so easily, turrets used to take 13 hits to kill one, now it is 7, and trying to harass while a thor is sitting inside a T's base with SCV's at the ready to repair is suicide.

If you actually watched him play for more than a few tournament games you would realize that he will only "all in" on maps where he knows he has a severe disadvantage. ie. lost temple. most of the time he plays standard.

I would also like to add that Zerg could contain with lurkers as well!
