In a game today I managed to tag a couple of carriers with neural parasite. All their interceptors flew back inside, and they sat there, surrounded by nice attackable enemy units, doing nothing. I even told one to attack something, to no avail. Anyone know if this is a bug, or intended, or what?
The existence of a food chain is inescapable if we evolved unsupervised, and inexcusable otherwise.

Probably a bug, did you have option to build your own interceptors?

I found that the enemy carriers still remaining just insta kill all the taken interceptors, so you just havea a carrier chillin there with nothing to do o_o

probably the brain link only affects the carrier itself, and the interceptor is a different unit altogether. I do not think blizzard thought of that, nor that they want this ability to function this way. This long break, i hope they get to fix everything they see on community fan-sites!

maybe it depends werther the interceptors are inside the carrier or not?

as a toss player ive noticed a few bugs with NP
ive had completely static colossi in the middle of my army while being np'd
not doing any damage to my units (thankfully) what so ever

hey it made perfect sense.


today in work i had to answer the telephone with a cement mixer and when i found my pencil it was covered in sticky rasberry jam. this proves that carriers are even more useless and need a buff.

I've NPed carriers back in patch 12 and they do lose all their interceptors. You can however, build them yourself

Yeah I np them in a game just f'ing around at the end and was attacking toss's buildings with them back when the first patch that buffed np came out.

so you can attack air units on high ground? How is this supposed to be possible when you dont get vision to high ground without having an air unit or other units there?

it's just how it is, air units aren't on ground so they get no high ground! lol also they will bring vision to that area so if you have units on high ground air units will bring vision to them if you attack.

you get always vision of airunits. there was a bug where airunits also showed the units under it self (when opponent didnt had vision of the high ground), dunno if that got fixed
after 2 years i reached it = marine icon

I don't think this air unit high ground thing is true, I hide my overlords on high ground all the time.
I always try to shield slam face, just to make sure it doesnt work

If the unit is on proper high ground, it doesn't matter if it is ground or air, opponent needs vision up there. Can be seen by tons of Zerg hiding an Overlord just on the corner of cliff by the expo in Lost Temple.

Cannot NP Interceptors.

As long as the air unit doesn't attack it has the high ground advantage, as soon as it attacks it's up for grabs.

Ex. Lost Temple, I'm zerg and I FE, enemy is protoss and gets void rays, i can shoot the void rays that are on my ledge by my FE with queens if they attack me.

Edit: Imagine banshees that couldn't be seen on high ground, that shit would be ridiculous lol

Personally I'd be more concerned if someone NP'ed my Momma Ship.

IF the zerg was able to sneak in a parasite on one of your carriers, it shouldn't be much of a problem as the other carriers should be able to snipe it off with ease since NP only has 1 range on the carriers, you really aren't exposing your carriers as you would be if you were trying to snipe it with Immortals or sentries.
