Cheese is an ancient food whose origins predate recorded history. There is no conclusive evidence indicating where cheesemaking originated, either in Europe, Central Asia or the Middle East, but the practice had spread within Europe prior to Roman times and, according to Pliny the Elder, had become a sophisticated enterprise by the time the Roman Empire came into being.

Proposed dates for the origin of cheesemaking range from around 8000 BCE (when sheep were first domesticated) to around 3000 BCE. The first cheese may have been made by people in the Middle East or by nomadic tribes in Central Asia. Since animal skins and inflated internal organs have, since ancient times, provided storage vessels for a range of foodstuffs, it is probable that the process of cheese making was discovered accidentally by storing milk in a container made from the stomach of an animal, resulting in the milk being turned to curd and whey by the rennet from the stomach. There is a legend with variations about the discovery of cheese by an Arab trader who used this method of storing milk.

Lies, earlier i did the old 6 proxy rax / 7 tech / 8 reaper (or something)

sadly the first reaper failed hard but i managed to micro out the second reaper, giving me a few minutes to pull a decent defense/income out of my arse..

i was massively behind but turned this ~2 minute failure into a 20+ minute win...

Also, yeah. Cheese predates SC. The way it was explained to me originially is that "Cheesy" play is a play that is "delicious and full of holes" (iirc). It's something that will work well if done right and unexpected (thus the deliciousness) and will be easily countered and put you in a clearly losing position if the opponent is ready (thus the "full of holes" bit.)

Lets say "If I could rearrange the alphabet I'd put U and I together" is a real life 5pool.

Guys say this stuff to women because theres always a small chance that they will get lucky and it will work.

Same with starcraft. 5pool should never work, and almost never does, but occasionally, you'll get lucky, pick off a nice handful of workers or something and get yourself a fast GG.

pretty much applies to most of the cheese rushes since they a) often mean a easy win and b) often require very little control or even skill outside of timings.

this, the term has been around since the early 90s or 80s at least. Kids used to say it all the time at the arcade when u massed hadoukens.

Also, Cheese often comes with wine. which sounds like whine :D
