1 early game = scouting drone. Late game is units. 2-4 units. Melee on low numbers, range on higher. Casters on 4. 5 all hatcheries 6 all queens. 7-8 rarely used for now. Nydus when I have it. 0-9 first 2 overlords in the early game. Later in the game Overseers. Mosty shift-backspace for spawn larva macro, although sometimes when I have less queens than hatches, I do minimap casting. otherwise I run the risk of having my queens run all over the place.

I'm assuming you select all your queens beforehand I'm very confused, because I didn't know backspace was used at all. Is there a thread where I can learn all these random new sc2 controls?

Holding shift and pressing V makes it so that you can spam click the LMB and rapidly mash the backspace button for very, very fast inject of many bases. Could someone explain this in layman's terms? I mean really address the lowest common denominator.

4 is all hatches 5-9 is queens and other misc stuff that would be useful I tried doing separate binds for each hatchery, but I found it a lot faster just to hotkey the queens and inject that way, and I'd just select that queen if I ever need to look at that base. I want closer F keys back =(

)Now that I'm reading other posts ^^^ this backspace cycling is intriguing, and I will check it out in the morning.

Pressing Backspace on your keyboard lets you cycle through your hatcheries. It makes your screen center onto a hatchery. Holding Shift is used for having "V" (inject larvae) always active on your pointer. In other words, shift makes sure that you don't have to v+ckick v+click v+click on every hatchery. Get it? You just press backspace with shift+v and click, click click click, and all your hatcheries are injected. I use: 1-4 units 5/6 hatches 7/8 queens 9-0 for important tech structrues or evo chambers.

Have all your queens in one control group on one hotkey. I have them on 6. Second: Which buttons to use. Backspace: This cycles through your hatcheries. If you press it, it will center the screen on the (nearest?) hatchery. If you press it again, it centers on your next hatchery. V: hotkey for spawn larva shift: Is used to give multiple commands at the same time. For example: If you hold shift and right click 3 times when holding a units, it will run to the place you clicked first, then run to the second, then run to the third. It is also used for easy casting: You press Y for frenzy, hold shift, and then left click 3 times on 3 different units. Your infestor will cast frenzy 3 times. It is faster than having to Y+click 3 times. Third: The macro trick: Press 6 to select all your queens. Press V. Hold right shift (with your left hand) Press backspace to center on your hatch (also left hand) Left click to spawn larva on this hatch Press backspace again to center on your next hatch Left click to spawn larva on this hatch ... This works best if you have 1 queen / hatch. Otherwise, if you happen to center on the hatch without queen, you could have a queen running all over the place.

1-4 Units 5-9 Hatches Buttons on Mouse for Queens. This allows me to double tap hatch and press queen and spawn larva very fast. I tried doing it with all hatch on one key and all queen on 1 key using minimap spawn larva but that only really seems effective for me when I have 3+ hatch, on 1-2 hatch then my method seems to suit me better, means you can rally units from different hatches to different places too.

Minimap spawn larva ftw Exactly this. 1 for Lings/Roaches/Ultras ("Melee" or low range in general) 2 for Hydras 3 for Air or Banelings 4 for Infestors Once you have more than 2 bases Minimap larva is soooo much faster. And even for 1 or 2 bases its not slower.
