I think you're overreacting to the Force Field change. Ultras weren't getting used much, and Colossi are in the mirror, making it hardly a "balance" issue. The Thor is the biggest issue, and they're not exactly commonly used in TvP. Admittedly, I think with the size reduction, Thors deserve to lose the Massive modifier. You can't be both tiny and massive. That just doesn't work.

I want to see some streams/VODs of those beautiful remade BroodWar maps people have been working on (I like the Blizz ones, but I think larger, more open middles would be beneficial.

On the league change:

Basically the reasoning behind the change is that the skill curve int he leagues isn't matching the leagues. Functionally there is actually not much difference between Copper and Bronze players, but there is a ton of scale in skill level in platinum.

Ultras now do 40 massive splash against marauders and you think players are going to be going marauders against them? And Ultras can't be slowed by concussive shells when Frenzied, AND get plus 25 percent attack? So what is that - 50 splash damage against marauders? And you are whining over 150 HPs? LoL.

It's an alternative protocol to TCP, which SC2 was using up until now. UDP can provide a lower latency model for networking.

The FF change is funny at least in PvP, from previous patch they make the collosus being able to get block by FF but now he will remove the FF.

They couldn't be slowed before... except for the attack buff, frenzy doesn't help the ultra vs T.

And with 450HP they're are going to melt even faster than before.

He has a point. I mean 600 HP ultras already ate through helions, thors, and tanks a lot more effectively than most people give credit for. But frenzied ultras, with cracklings/hydra support?

I dunno though. Great positioning and a critical mass of tanks > high damage. They wont even be able to reach the tank line.

they never got slowed before anyway. ultras are massive units and i think your missing the point about ultras dying before they can get a single attack off.

You don't know that removing copper is and making diamond is just moving everyone up a league.

It is totally possible that the diamond league is harder to get into then the current platinum league. Hopefully that is the case.
