I'm actually happy about the roach change, i think a supply change or increase in unit cost was due; it was too easy to mass them given the zerg production speed + cheap cost + 1 supply. It's not that the unit was NERFED in any way, its still like it was before, you just need to SPAWN MOAR OVERLORDS, don't cry that much. The roach rushes were getting a bit out of hand i can tell you that from personal experience (at least on EU). The forge change is ok too, helps against cannonrush and well its 10 seconds, not that much either. The vortex change was bound to happen too. Thor change, gotta wait and see, maybe with the reduction in size a reduction in power will be needed, we'll see how it plays out. I guess terran will welcome it on their mech builds which seem to be gaining popularity after recent tank changes. They said the ultralisk was going to be changed, most probably in the next patch release, and after the roach change its very probable that it's going to get a huge boost!

Blizzard won't give us channels because there would be too much rage on it with those kind of patches ^^.

I feel that the zergs can't be called "the Swarm" anymore. There're more units in a terran army now.

Anyone else having the crash after exiting the game? Happends to me all the time, so annoying since the sound really bugs up..

I know the roach nerf sucks but i think it was necessary, in the meta game you can wipe an entire zerg army and they can easily re mass roaches even with a gas shortage

Following jinro's line of thinking, I'd actually much, much prefer a minor health nerf to the roach, say down to 125 hp or less, and keep them swarmable. If you saw Kiwkaki vs sheth in the ace match of the first USA vs canada, it was SO cool how many units were swarming around. This would make early rushes a bit stronger in ZvP, but you can just use more lings or something. Reapers and hellions can barely touch roaches as it is.

Yes, this is probably true, but it's just so un-zerg for all their units to cost 2 supply (hydra and roach) =/

ya i dislike the hydra unit tbh..i prefer the weaker, faster, 1 supply low tech hydras from bw much much more. the harder hitting/expensive/slow hydra just does not fit with zerg..but perhaps if hydras were weaker and did less dmg but were cheaper/tier 1..it'd be just too overpowered

i just wish melee was more viable vs force fields..then we have 2 tier 1, 1 supply units that would be useful

Because of the maps. They have ridocolously small chokes etc, so the Thors when in big numbers have a hard time forming proper arcs, they also block other units.

Ultralisks have the same issue, except since their melee they have it even worse.

Now with this you can get alot more Thors attacking the same time.

Don't know about you, but I hardly ever reach 200/200 supply in any game. Most of my games are over way to quick for that to happen.

I have to agree tough that the Zerg was able to generate an insane amount of Roaches very quickly.


Except in the late game supply isn't as much of an issue as it is in the early game, imo this just nerfs zerg early game even more.

This patch only effect roaches late game, since, early game, lets face it 1-2 overlords @100 min, is kind of like getting community service for a DUI.

I'm glad I play Terran.
I was a Z player in BW and I really wanted to play them in SC2. Nerf after Nerf I slowly drift away from the mighty Zerg race.
