I wonder how complicated it is to make a chat channel. I seem to remember these being around back in ooooh 1998 I wonder what people like you are thinking about when making this point. You guys must have some kind of point since I see this same thing posted all over the place. Has Blizzard ever said "Oh man, chat rooms are so had to program, let's skip that and make this huge new RTS game engine". Blizzard has reasons, which we can only speculate on, for not including chat rooms, but I can be pretty certain it's not "Chat roomz is hard". Thats our point. Blizzard has chosen Facebook integration as a higher priotiy than chat. See? No, I don't see. If you want to make a point how about you actually post about that point? Chat rooms being easy to create has nothing to do with Facebook integration.

Why are people still complaining about chat. Blizzard has already said they will have chat channels. Are people just complaining because its not at release?

Go back and read what it was replying to.

Twitter next. I would be more happy with some youtube/livestream integration.

Sure, whatever. It's somewhat convenient, so I'm cool with it..so long as they don't announce stuff every three seconds like in Farmville.

The game not having chat channels, clans, cross-region play, 2010 latency quality, and group replay watching because they were too busy implementing semi-Facebook features: Screw you Blizzard.
Good to know that I can add my European friends to my Bnet friends list. Too bad I can't play with them since I live in the US.
DAMN YOU BLIZZ EDIT: you missed LAN.

I would prefer chat channels to be honest.

I seriously don't get how's this "Pushing ESports Forward".
seems like really step backwards to me, and big one.
wtf is happening at Blizzard, who's giving them so many shitty advices..
|
Oh my friggin god... I really really really hate all those people that join every group there is, post everything even if it has nog relevance whatsoever (Jimmy is eating noodles... CARE OMG) and just facebook in general. The only thing it's useful for are pictures and since everyone uses it...
Still, I do not condone of this. Mixing my favorite game with some stupid "social networking" fuck shit site? What the FUCK is Blizzard thinking? aaaaargh

who needs lan support, when you can have facebook? yaaay. bullshit.
|
Facebook is nice and all but I'd rather have chat channels.
|
I died a bit inside when I heard this piece of shit feature.

Christ some of you are whiners. This is a welcome addition for finding not-so-random people to play with and compare stats with.
It is not like it was a choice to have this feature over chat channels or [insert other anticipated feature here]. Give it time.
As I said before I know it worked pretty well for Xbox live and it will work here too.
|
This is okay, as long as i can DISABLE this and not be forced to have it. Facebook privacy settings now days are basically non-existent.
|
I don't use Facebook, will I have to make an account or sth.?
I really just think Facebook is stupid and a waste of time and it would annoy me if I had to get an account to fully "enjoy" SC2.

This feature its self isn’t a bad idea. As long as it’s optional and easily disabled/modifiable filters it could be neat.
What gets me though is that this somehow makes the launch but chat rooms aren’t slatted until AFTER release? I just don’t understand where Blizzard is getting their info on what the community really wants.
