Most players are still going hydra/roach and wondering why they are losing though, with no sense of macro. Can a good Zerg player tell me how he views ZvT and ZvP has changed from this patch? Like I'm totally confused as to what is actually happening with these changes. As a Terran player I AM using mech more TvP. Whether it is better than getting Marauders or not, I'm not sure. But I'm pumping 5 Thors a minute and 15 seconds faster than normally... so I'm able to push out and compete against the Protoss with my army way faster than previously. | ||

I am only a gold player so I probably don't qualify as "good" but so far I've been stomping all over any zerg who try to mass roaches. Zealots are close enough in effectiveness to deal with roaches now, and once you add some stalkers and sentries it's a slaughter. Don't really even need immortals except to bust through a choke point. Roaches will still beat zealots badly any place where they can't get a lot of surface area (like ramps and chokes). Then again, ramps and chokes give you a lot of opportunities to abuse forcefield without needing a lot of sentries. I only played one ZvT game, but I was able to take down mass roaches with massed marines (with stim and combat shield), more or less equal supply on both sides. I had maybe one marauder per ~6-7 marines, as I was building from a single tech lab and 4 naked barracks. | ||

I also was a zerg player, with a pretty good rec around 25-10 and top 5 in my Platinum division.. then the marauder 3rax timing pushes started happening, went totally downhill from there. I gave up and switched to toss, which is hard learning a whole new race when I didnt even play more than 15 games before this current reset, so im losing to newbs, but least I feel like I have a slight chance vs T now. I feel so bad for zergs now, hydras and roaches nerfed, while thors buffed (wow) and Marauders hardly nerfed. Think of it this way; This marauder upgrade basically just means 1 less marauder in their army before their push. They really needed to nerf the STATS of the marauder, they will still dominate everything once that upgrade is done. I hate to agree with Idra for once, but watching Lzgamer vs Idra replay, where Idra had the whole map and twice the army Lz had, but Lz had marauders.. I would say it was like 40 marauders/medivac taking out 80 hydra/roach. Its just wrong. | ||

Did this vs a terran some minutes ago, he got ghosts emping and sniping my infestors after i controlled his first 3 thors. I scouted his base with overlord and thought oh nice more thors for my mindcontroll but got my ass handed to me on a silver plate. | ||
