Marauder requiring an upgrade = Finally.
Siege Tanks being more easily built = Good, but needs to be better.

Overall, pretty awesome.

They need to do something about the match pool. PvZ is such a different MU on Scrap Station and especially Desert Oasis that it's impossible to balance. I feel super confident playing PvZ on any other map but if I face a zerg on Desert Oasis I feel that I'm at a huge disadvantage from the start if I play a standard game.

And here we go again, more talk about wanting the old units back. If you mean that hydras are to return to what they were in SC:BW, wouldn't it screw other things up? If one thing changes in the game, you probably have to make adjustments to other things as well, especially if we are talking about BIG changes such as returning hydras back to the SC:BW version. Don't forget that they are stronger now, but also that you need Lair to get them. No, they're not the same as in SC:BW, but are they really supposed to be?

I'm not the best player around here so you might think this is a load of bullshit, but this is at least what I think about bringing old units back into the SC2. I disagree with that, but only to a certain degree of course. But I still think we need to adapt to the new units and their roles instead of whining about the "disappearance of micro" and old units.

Hydras aren't the same as they were in BW, yes I agree. They're stronger, yes. But they've been moved back to T2. Isn't that enough of a nerf to balance the +2 damage and +1 range? Besides, hydra seem to be slower now and 100/50/2 for an 80 hp hydra is kind of ridiculous.

Looks like maraudercraft is still going to be dominant in PvT. Early push is a little nerfed, but it's nothing a reaper open can't fix.

Really the tank "buff" is nothing. I like the thor time decrease, but tanks need more dmg or less gas cost. Down to 100 would be sufficient to make them effective.

I was playing Terran back when they got raped by toss with extremely fast 4 warpgate-pushes and stuff but changed to toss once everyone started massing Marauders, just cuz it wasn't fun to play at all. I'm gonna definitely stay with Protoss though, because it's IMHO just very fun to play and it requires a good amount of Macro (just look at Chronoboost - you have to use it twice as often as the other Macro-abilities) and encourages creativity with lots of possibilities like warp-in's, chronoboost that can make units/probes/Upgrades build/research faster etc.

Though I've never felt like Toss were overpowered. In fact, after 250 Games with Terran with easily over 60% wins I totally got raped playing Toss and it took me about 500 games to get back to over 55% wins and Platinum.
Ppl tend to see timing-attacks that work in some instances and think that it's easy to win with toss, though they don't see that those attacks are often All-in's and that the Toss is behind economically after the first 5 mins in every MU so you have to make that attack count.

I also don't like to play all-in's or cheese and rly, I dare you guys - Play a straight-up Macro-wars with toss against T or Z, with a solid build that doesn't die to all sorts of cheese and you'll see how hard it's to play Toss solid without having to depend on all-in timing-attacks.


Yeah I did the same^^. Was terran first, switched to random after the reset and decided toss was the harder/more involved race to win with (for me at least). And yet blizzard refuses to let me play the underdog by patching the other races to balanced levels!><
I suppose I don't mind the changes but I'm starting to feel like they're balancing this game like they do WoW: if enough people whine about it we'll change it. I certainly had a hard time with early game marauder slow too but so what? Intense moments of "oh crap I gotta micro this" are a good thing in my eyes. This takes alot of the tension out of the early TvP game =(


Tension? What are you talking about. Slow didn't add any tension at all - if anything it removed it by removing the ability for the enemy to hit and run and removing much of the micro needed vs Zealots. If anything it killed the spectator value to me.

They shouldn't bother with costs at all, just make the time it takes to siege up lower than 5 years and increase the splash to at least how it was in BW.

They nerfed tanks going in SC2 not realizing that tanks are only the backbone when combined with mines (which is gone) and cliff advantage (which is also gone) + the "dragoons" in SC2 have blink, which eliminates a volley or two altogether that would have normally gone off.

after like 10 games i can safely say roaches are dead now zvz. its all about lings now. not that its much better. as for the other mus, I lost everything except a baneling bust zvp against runa.

Wow mech got a serious boost. 75 to 60 seconds for the Thor. The void ray "nerf" is kinda wierd, I don't really get the damage change (more effectiveness against smaller units?). The price increase is warranted, because they WERE pretty nasty in PvP. (gas steal into 2 stargate voidray)
Maruader slow nerf is good stuff, great way to slightly nerf maruaders. Roach armor is a good change, zealots can actually do decent damage on roaches now.

YESSSSSS for marauder, this will help immensely in the early game as it will delay stim/shield/ or concussive. And/or it means 1 less marauder if they get it early. But late game I still think it might be a problem.

I don't think I like the hydra HP nerf, storm gonna leave them at 1 hp now? What's with the tunneling claws nerf too? It wasn't too fast at all.

Does a void ray still kill a queen 1v1?

wtf, why do they keep making thor's better and better? It was good by itself before the flak canons imo (it's a support/tank role for your marines)
Now it's becoming more standalone unit.

edit- actually this marauder nerf doesn't really do much at all >.<
They are still gonna have concussive when they have like 6 or so marauders and that is when they move out.
..and then I would, ya know, check em'. (Aka SpoR)
