Yes I know I oversimplify it somewhat but this is the core principle. the 10hp together with the 1 armor reduction on roaches hopefully makes z use infestors a whole lot more or force zerg to micro more with the roaches regen when burrowed e.g.(to just pick two things off the top of my head). In other words we wont see so much zerg switching between 2 attacking unit compositions through out a game(again oversimplification but pretty much what is going on). Oh and to be a bit optimistic perhaps blizz will figure out a new unit or ability that is needed to spice things up with the zerg(or players will start to utilize the Ultralisk more so we can finally come to some sort of conclusion on what needs to be done about it). Oh before someone mentions it yes the infestor seems very weak as it is now but I hope with increased use(if lucky) we can start to see it get a more defined place in an army and how to use it properly. Atleast these are my thoughts and hopes. edit: someone prolly said something similar but reading through 30 pages aint fun and there are still people whining so it needs to be repeated. | ||

Look at TvP for example without thinking of Marauder-rushes: - Stalkers can now move out on the Map pressuring the Terran Wall-in and scout if the Terran goes for a FE, tech or Mass-Marauders because you don't basically suicide every Unit that goes near the Terran base. - This means 2-gate stalkers will be better than going for very fast Immortals, or at least better than this strat was before, so you can go for a solid build that doesn't just die to Banshee-rushes. - Early pressure by the Protoss will force the Terran to adapt early on, which will lead to either less viable attack-forces, a later Expansion or a later tech, which will make stimmed-marauders with EMP less powerful and Terran can't just easily get an expansion up as soon as a few Marauders and EMP are out, or it won't get to that point that fast, jsut because of the extra 100/100 needed and more early pressure by the Protoss without having to do an allin with Immortals that get raped totally by EMP and stimmed marauders. I think because of that change, TvP will be a more well-rouned MU that awards solid play and early "pressure" and plz don't think of "pressure" like "all-in's". Pressure is good and solid. all-in's are risky and stupid. ^^' | ||

(tvz changes are nice tho) Except t is buffed because marauders still own after 80 seconds and 100/100, and I think the thor build time decrease makes a strategy of expo/thor/marauder viable, since the thor's power can kill an immortal. | ||

PS I play mostly terran so this is not a P being biased >.< check out demuslim vs phobos gosu cup round 16 if you wanna know waht im talking about. I was/am of the oppinion that marauders are not OP, but they were during a small window and I think blizz changed this with this patch, well done, but the patch will hae to be tested ofc. im anxious to test it out. | ||

I'm not hating on Browder, I just think that Browder worked on C&C for so long, so he thinks that these things are very great (and I'm not saying they aren't, it just feels like they are being forced into SC universe) | ||
