The seeker missile change im glad of. The oracle losing time warp kind of eliminates a lot of the point of them being harass units, and some of the cool tactics like creating a line of time warps on the opponents ramp whilst you harassed the main with oracles or warp prisms is now not really feasible. That said, it will reduce screen saturation caused by storms, FFs, time warp, guardian shield, collossi and void rays lasers...got a bit much to keep track. Glad they got rid of the medivac healing change, they got a bit stupid too, they became literally invulnerable to zerglings if they were one armor upgrade ahead of the weapon upgrade....thats just stupid. Not sure what to think of the mech changes. Too unpredictable to theorycraft the hellbat change, could be good or bad I don't want to call it. The siege tank change is a little odd...I dont know if there are some all ins I didn't face that involved needing early siege mode to defend, but I can't see this changing anything except early timing pushes. Vortex needed removing or changing, fair enough. Infestor change fair enough really. We shall see, I suppose. | ||

This change does absolutely nothing for the fundamental problems of limited viable Terran strats in TvP. As for the Reapers, why Blizzard is so intent on keeping the Reaper as a tier 1 unit is simply beyond me. How can they not see that there is no need for it there. They're bending over backwards to make it work, but ignoring all of the actual reasons why it doesn't - it is not sustainable. Do they want to reduce it to a scouting unit? Terran doesn't need a scouting unit. They have Marines, floating Rax, and Scans to do that already. The problem is they're not experimenting with the Reaper, they're just exaggerating its already existing attributes - the same ones that prevent it from being useful in the first place. All of the opportunities to try something new with the Reaper in the beta were totally wasted. Why not try bumping it up to a t2 unit? Why not try bumping it up to a t3 lategame Terran option, to help the bioball in some way? That would be interesting. That would have been experimenting. | ||
