Wish they would get rid of/completely change fungal growth already. =( Bizarre changes all around, don't really like it.

Interesting stuff.

I think the reaper change is pretty clever. They may be too weak but now its really easy to switch from mass marine to some reaper squads for taking out remote bases and scouting.

Raven seems good and makes some sense.

Siege is weird - just give them more damage in exchange for longer switching time between modes ( more power less mobile)

Envision to oracle is kind of ok but is also slightly silly because revelation with detection is simply much cooler and more interesting.

Time warp to msc - well I think they can really scrap the MSC and give the photonic overcharge to the nexus already...
oracle without timewarp should be less supply and cost, because you really won't ever need more than 3 for harrass/detection.

Still waiting for the MSC to be removed and the tank to be buffed though.
Also forcefield/ warpgate changes would be great.

But I think it's an ok patch

On the positive note.... With Siege tanks free.

Toss and Zerg will put value on air units! this opens upl be more air battles in hots than I thought.

I often think I would like to add 3-5 tanks to my army, but don't bother due to it requiring the extra upgrade, now it is easier to have both hellbats and siege tanks sprinkled in without needing upgrades for either.

When blizz said they are focusing on "mech tvp this week", did they really mean removing siege mode upgrade? Or is the "focusing mech tvp" still coming?

Focusing mech tvp this week doesn't mean 1 patch midweek and they're done with it. If they see further changes are needed, they will step in. It doesn't mean they are confining focus onto the siege tank either.

HOTS launch is just 2 months away. And i still don't see any consistency in recent patches. The Blizzard balance team should be feeling the pressure now.

Z v T is going to be unbelievably ridiculous now, all the different angles Terran can hit you from now... like seriously...this is just simply unbelievable.

EDIT : Can you imagine as a Zerg having to deal with marine medivac and widow mines into marine tank timings now? Including hellions and banshees? Do they want Zergs to just have every game as hell on earth? lol

I really don't like them taking out the siege mode research upgrade EVEN if it makes the game better (which it doesn't).. it just doesn't sit well with me - it's an iconic SC upgrade. This change probably will just promote more allin's if anything.

Not feeling the MSC changes either.. Oracle you get them for their DPS (does anybody even use revelation?) - if you have to save energy for detection, then it won't fulfill its harassing role anymore.

I just cant believe the quote "We dont want the change to affect the other MU's." Where as 90% if not higher of TvT and TvZ have Tanks used in them since release........ Compare that to TvP where about 99% of Terrans do NOT use tanks. Do they really think that there change does not affect the other MU"s??!!?!?!? Getting quicker faster upgraded tanks SURELY will not change anything in TvT and TvZ......

Like I said earlier, Ignorance is Bliss.

These changes could potentially be good for TvP, but now that its going to break TvZ, sure enough will be taking 2 steps backward next patch with the upgrade put back in and the cost increased.

Terrans are going to shit stomp Zerg without Siege Mode Upgrade, with Reactor Reapers and an even better Raven than the original HOTS Raven with 100 energy Seeker Missiles and still be ineffective vs Protoss, well done Blizzard ...

reaper change is vs z really good with some micro you can do pressure and force zerglings or roaches

the tank buff dont change much 1 good window mine and puff and marine support is dead
no support no siege tank

it will vs help protoss all ins
but 1/1/1 will still not work because of that

its really nice to have reactor reaper

on early game you cant tell if he is building marine or reaper if you wall in

and late game
maybe you can mix marauder reaper vs stalker charge lots or make 2 way attack on expo with marine marauder and reaper in their base

and on big maps nexus first will be counter if you open with reaper

Ahah HSM is super OP. I did 3 raven last game vs P, 20 kills each :D If your opponent is not focus, u can OS an army.

just because something can kill a lot of units if the opponent isn't focusing, doesn't mean it's "super OP"

I think the siege tank upgrade removal is really unbalanced... and I'm terran! I think tech lab is still needed to build siege tanks. This is gonna make the game faster for terran mech. Much much faster.
