on battle.net french forum, people think he hacked or cheated in some ways to get it all unlocked without really doing it... or he's in diamond in every 1v1 to 4v4 but still...
About the ZeroExodus guy having 1600 as well and being badmannered, if he hacks too, he prolly didn't like having such advertisment on forums and when 200 people add him to ask him how he did it, he got pissed... Well in fact i don't know...
if someone else got it, it can't be a "you're the first in the world to finnish the campaign in brutal, here's a special achievement" kinda thing... Oh, ZeroExodus' bad manners had nothing to do with me putting this post up or asking him about the campaign. He was someone whom I beat in a 2v2 game and then proceeded to trash talk me for about 5 minutes afterwards. I simply looked at his profile out of curiosity because his bad manners piqued my curiosity and thus I found the 1600/1600 incidentally.
Still, I don't think it's a hack. I feel like it's either a meta-achievement or a glitch.
Also, can anyone link the battle.net profile for ZeroExodus as well?

Hmm his profile seems alittle strange to me. He got all of the Campaign Achievements in one day..

well. 10 minutes on google and I couldnt find anything about an achievement hack =[ who knows if its true, but hmm even on darkblizz there seems to be no mention of it.
I suspect theres just an actual trick that only Cow and this zeroexodus guy knows about so far.. and they aren't sharing it.
and to be honest, I finished the campaign in 2 days (achievements 0 to 1500 before the meta bugs) and I messed around a lot, im sure I coulda done them all in one day if I tried. so thats not odd to me.

There are, and have been, trainers out since the very beginning. These work with any single player modes, including the campaign, challenges, and vs AI.
They do not interfere with the achievement system.
Hell, they even have a trainer solely for Lost Viking.

Sure, I could probably run through all the normal and hard difficulty achievements in a few days. But I doubt I would ever have finished a Brutal campaign in addition to every other achievement in a single day.

I did it in two day as well and you could probably do it in less than 24H straight.
And i'm pretty sure you can load someone else save so you could have all the achievement in less than 1h our (save every game 2s before the achievement :p)

And he has 470 achievement points too many, so it's safe to assume he hacked/glitched them and received a bunch of them multiple times.

It looks like Blizzard is aware of this issue and is going to fix it: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/540694134
Hey guys,
We are currently aware of this issue and it should be resolved in a future patch. Thank you for all of the information everyone provided!
Maybe ZeroExodus and Cow are testing the fix?

This kind of logic doesn't work here. Some people want that 1600 NOW, even if it's through illegitimate means, and even if the 1600 is actually a bug and the 1590 is actually the true number.
|
If it would simply be the case of a broken (no secrets at all) meta, wouldnt the people who actually made it work end up with that achievement visible in their profile page as with all other known achievements, regardless of bugs preventing some people to actually get them? It seems apparent that the last 10 points are somehow stealthy, if not secret, since all the other achievement points to my knowledge are declared and accounted for? Also, surely there must be more people who recently finished the campaign but an awful lot seem to be stuck at 1590?

this is typical token conditioning by blizzard give the rat food on a regular scheme and its fine. give the rat food after pressing the trigger and it will learn to press the trigger more often. give the rat food everytime she presses and she will start collecting. now give the rat food only every second time she presses - she will press double times and even more often. now guess what will happen if you deny the rat food when she presses the button. yeah you dont have to guess... youre the rat!

and im not buying the blizzard "we are looking into it for a fix" crap. Blizzard (especially their forum mods) are not always 100% truthful (actually are they ever 100% truthful??) so it just seems like a diversion tactic to throw us off the trail of the secret achievement.
Its intentionally 1590, and theres some kinda trick to getting it. Otherwise, there wouldnt be people on bnet right now with 1600/1600.
Not buying the "they hacked to get it" crap also.

Well it's fairly obvious that there's bugs all over the the achievement system. Just read the battle.net forum, or better yet look at some profiles. People have reported not getting points for achievements they get the popup for, not getting the popup at all when they definitely met the requirements, the whole Brutal: 25 thing is obviously bugged to no end, the display is bugged on the website with incorrectly highlighting (or not highlighting) sub-requirements for some achievements. It's not a huge stretch to think that it's a bug in the system, especially since they, you know... said it was a bug in the system. I'm pretty sure that some lowly tech support people making $15 / hour and who don't even work out of the same location that SC2 was developed at, are not involved in some secret conspiracy to hide achievements from people.

im not saying they are involved in some secret conspiracy to hide it, im just saying they simply dont know anything about it. Just like they never knew anything when people ask them questions about other things; such as how the ladder even works.
The mods there are not the brightest bulbs in the bunch.

Now then, there's no secret achievement. As I mentioned it above, that guy (ZeroExodus) for one has too many achievement points. What I mean by that is that he has 2480 points while he should only have 2010 (1600 + 360 + 50), that's 470 points that have come out of nowhere (check his profile for the numbers). So it's more than likely that an achievement(s) can be glitched to receive them multiple times, so there are no secret achievements(other than the FoS everyone knows about).

Oh damn, my bad, guess I kinda forgot about those since I haven't been able to see them for two days. -_-"
