They've already said it's a bug and they intend to fix it with a patch, I'm not sure how much more fruitful this discussion can really be.

While I do think it is a bug (1600 should be 1590), I wouldn't be surprised if it actually wasn't a bug, but some other part is bugged that blocks this last achievement or something like that. Seriously, the achievements are so buggy that everything is possible.

Sure, but any way you look at it it's a bug, whether it be here, there, or somewhere else. so I think it's just not worth worrying about until they fix it, since they've already admitted a problem somewhere and promised a fix.

Sounds like you're the one with the problem then. Carry on discussing ways of using hacks or bugs in the system to circumvent other bugs in the system to prevent yourself from having to wait a couple days to achieve the same thing legitimately even though it will take you longer than a couple of days to figure out the bug to circumvent the bug and by that time the fix will probably already have been implemented thus rendering all of your efforts useless.

My understanding is that they've already patched it? What I mean is in game, originally your achievement was 1590/1600, now it doesn't show the "/1600" part.
Which seems to me indicates that there indeed is something that gets you to 1600. However, not enough players are able to find the secret or easter egg, causing confusion, so they just removed the "/1600" part. They seem to have left it on the web look up versions of the profiles though.

There are actually two feats of strength achievements that are gained from the campaign, although I'm not sure of they count towards the 1600.
One of them is killing all the Zerg buildings on Devil's Playground, another is killing all Protoss buildings in the mission where you have to mine for Terrazine.

yeah and there is the third for using the robot in the secret mission to kill the brutalisk, they don't count as was discussed on the last 10 pages

Did anyone find out where the mpq-derived trail of the supposed "Hell, it's about time!" achievement ends? Supposing that it doesnt exclude other possibilities, I have some wild speculations...
- Does anyone know this "Cow" exactly who has 1600/1600 or can it be the case of account names not being unique and that it is merely a clue?
- On the first mission, liberation day, there is a cow critter that doesnt show a healthbar and cannot be selected but can either be pushed around or nuked by extensive leftclicking. Perhaps there are more cows on other maps?
- Does launching the outhouse in zero hour do anything else apart from adding scenic decoraiton throughout the campaign?

I suspect that there is no secret achievement. I think "Cow" simply found a way to receive an achievement twice, glitching some other achievement and highlighting those part of text.

with a 2nd person showing 1600/1600, and both players finishing campaign recently, I now assume it will be like broken meta-achievements where you can't do anything to try to correct it.
I no longer believe it to be the case of a hidden achievement, and I don't expect to the able to do anything about it until they decide to patch something.

just looked at Cow's profiles, looks like he didn't do some missions on brutal (looked at the list, the 4 first don't have "v" in front...)
on battle.net french forum, people think he hacked or cheated in some ways to get it all unlocked without really doing it... or he's in diamond in every 1v1 to 4v4 but still...
About the ZeroExodus guy having 1600 as well and being badmannered, if he hacks too, he prolly didn't like having such advertisment on forums and when 200 people add him to ask him how he did it, he got pissed... Well in fact i don't know...
if someone else got it, it can't be a "you're the first in the world to finnish the campaign in brutal, here's a special achievement" kinda thing...
