Just a hint, since basic logic is apparently beyond you:
Accomplishing something that should be accomplishable but is not due to a bug is not "illegitimate" by default.

The reason they got all the achievements in 1 day is because they probably just used saved games to get the achievements. Using a saved games probably also caused the 1600/1600, but it may have had to been modified saves to get it to happen, I don't know.

And you know that it should be accomplishable.... how? Because it says /1600? That could be the bug. I'm at a loss for why it's so hard for you to realize this. Because someone's profile says 1600/1600? They could have encountered a bug that's counting achievements twice. You have nothing but assumptions based on assumptions, and it's seriously mind boggling why you would be so resistant to just waiting for an actual fix, which they've already said is coming. Maybe you want to feel "leet" by being one of the first?
Speaking of basic logic, if something is NOT accomplishable, and you DO accomplish it, then by definition the accomplishment was obtained through illegimate means. I certainly don't see how you could argue that it was through legitimate means.

A Blizzard poster finally addressed the 1590/1600 campaign achievements bug / issue in a post:

99% Achievements Bug, I noticed there was no thread regarding this that was directly in the bug report section. So I'll post one here, sorry if there has been another post in here.
But this bug is annoying me, and beating up my OCDness. Please fix it?
The Bug is where it is stuck at 99% regardless of having all achievements acquired... in campaign mode. You can check my profile for proof of this. No Feats of Strength Achievements do not give points.
My points are stuck at um 1590/1600? Im guessing, please Blizzard Fixy this buggy :3

Hey guys,
We are currently aware of this issue and it should be resolved in a future patch. Thank you for all of the information everyone provided!
I hope this clears up any concerns you guys are having with single player achievements. It seems like they know about the bug, and are planning on patching it.

Because its been done.

And you have no proof that its not accomplishable, you're just flinging speculation around.

Was it with a modified save file? Do the people work for Blizzard? Did they encounter a bug that made the achievement add to their score twice? Did they get credit for an achievement during the first few hours of the game which blizzard then took offline but the 10 points remained? Who knows? And frankly, since they've promised a fix for the issue, who really cares?

Well isnt' that just the pot calling the kettle black...
But I do have proof that they've admitted a bug with the achievement scores specifically related to profiles displaying 1590/1600. So case closed.

Exactly. And where is the burden of proof in this situation? Squarely on you.

And? That gives you absolutely nothing useful. The fact that theres a bug doesn't mean it cant be circumvented legitimately.

Wut? Why do I have a burden of proof? I'm just stating the obvious, lol.

"Who knows" is obvious. "It can only be accomplished through illegitimate means" is a conclusion which requires actual evidence to support it.
Which you don't have.

Just another one to point out Gtoo
He has 1560/1600 but missing 2 metas from the bug with that, at 20 points each puts him at 1600 as well....that and he has almost every achievement anyway.
That makes 3 known that have (or should have) 1600/1600
Makes it seem more and more like it is not a bug.

But if you actually add up all the achievements he has.... he should only have 1550/1600 achievement points.

Ya, but same goes for the other 2 ppl pointed out so far as well...just pointing out another

Wery interesting topic. Since no one is asking people that have 1600 I decided to check if it's possible to get achievements by editing save file. But since I have collectors edition.... What are the chances that blizzard would just ban my account because of hacking single player achievements?
|
Hmmm, interesting theory on the save files. Is it possible you can save game before each branch point, play through one branch, load the save file, play through the other branch, and then after you do all six it will give you the "Hell it's about time" achievement?

edit: nm. wrong achievemetn

Should be sufficient if you're able to do this on hard. Good luck, Phoenix. I don't imagine this is even very difficult, if your macro is great and you put forces in the right places VERY quickly. Patrolling medic-marine groups, repairing SCVs, everything you can manage. Bunkers are probably also key, as are missile turrets.
Yea, I did that, just for fun.

GTOO is a known map hacker, so I wouldn't be surprised if he used some type of trainer/hack to get campaign achievements. That pretty much points anyone having 1600/1600 in that direction.
I dug through a lot of the mpq files, mainly looking for the feats of strength, which I've only found mentioned one place so far, and even then, it didn't include Monster Mash. Even looking through that secret mission's map triggers, I found no achievement award triggers for killing the brutalisk with ares (every normal achievement is there and easy to spot). This really confuses me.
I've tried finding some feats as well. I destroy all bases on all-in on normal, as well as lost 0 units on each of the basic challenges :D
And yeah, many files do point to "Hell it's about time" being the last achievement, with the condition of completing all the opposing missions when the story branches.

Thanks Han for showing everyone. Yes, I am kind of an asshole online. Just because I can be. Also, This is the.... 3rd time? For me running through the Brutal campaign so it was fairly easy.
