If I had to name one right now without any research, it would probably be the Bale UCL final acrobatics. There are probably some better ones on the nominee list, but it's not too shabby for a critical goal in UCL final.

And that's why you sort of glimpse over the award stuff in general and focus on more important football related stuff like the Bunducksliga.

But what he says is actually true. I remember Salah winning the best goal in play-offs over Cr7 bycicle kick ;D Obviously some biased country voted too hard to make it happen ![]()

Mbappé had an okay season in the league, and a good world cup, I'm not sure that's enough. He's more of a 'symbol' of the French success. Oh miss read xD thought you said no Messi xD I think Modric was better than DeBruyne personally though due to his world cup too. But that is debatable i guess.

http://www.goal.com/en/news/ramos-never-apologised-for-champions-league-final-elbow/1k3hn6r9o5xap1ou2ks2rgm8ff Asked if the 32-year-old had apologised, he told Bild: “No. I don’t think that he has got my number. He’s a hard player but I have nothing against him personally. “I don’t know whether he did that on purpose, but that doesn’t matter to me in the end. Only one person knows and this is Sergio Ramos. I went down and thought: ‘What’s going on now?’ No reaction from the five referees. I felt the adrenaline rushing through my body and thought only about playing on.” “A concussion was proven, and it harmed my spatial vision. The club asked me to go see a specialist. But again, I won’t use this as an excuse. I performed constantly throughout the whole season, so you can put it this way: under ordinary circumstances I cannot explain those mistakes.” “Yes, I’ve watched that Ramos scene. And the highlights,” he said. “You sometimes don’t understand how a certain situation could arise. I wanted to have better judgement, that’s why I watched it in the night and the next day again.”

They had it easy back then compared to the current generation, they really should stfu.

Ehh previous generation definitely had it easier (rules, privacy) in some ways than the current one but in other ways (money, broken bodies) they also had it harder.

Anyway, you can't stay at this level with a small ego. You might escape critics by appearing nice like Federer or to a certain extent Messi, but inside you're a douche bag when it comes to sports competition. Ronaldo pushes it very far with his communication (like announcing he was leaving Real right as they won the CL and were celebrating peacefully), but at least it's very honest. Not everyone has to be nice, mannered, dull.
