Thats true but thats not an expectation I hold anyway. With these sorts of things its always a last straw and if this serves as one then so be it, its better than nothing.

Bayern and Barca both keep their coaches wow

The guy I really want out is Bartomeu (Barcelona's president), if keeping Valverde is the way to get rid of him then that's good for me in the long run.
|
I agree that the biggest responsible has to be the top manager but elections are in 2 years, unless he does something really stupid I don't see the socios calling an early one.
Imo, Bartomeu has done better than I expected (and easily better than Rosell). I don't think he should be reelected, but he's not done so bad he should get fired early.

Now the BBC and Sky, for what it is worth, is conforming the sale. Makes me wonder if/when Mike Ashley will say the talks have broken down.

AV takes the lead just before halftime for the Championship playoffs

And they win promotion tho that was closer than it probably should have been in the end.

Mike Ashley is negotiating the £350m sale of Newcastle to Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates. The news has produced immense excitment on Tyneside but, despite reports in the Gulf it is virtually a done deal, there could still be a considerable distance to be covered.
While Newcastle have privately confirmed talks are continuing, Midhat Kidwai, the managing director of Sheikh Khaled’s organisation, said on Monday night that “terms have been agreed”.
He said: “We can confirm that representatives of Sheikh Khaled are in discussions with Mike Ashley and his team about the proposed acquisition of Newcastle United. We view it as an honour to have the opportunity to build on the strong support, history and tradition of the club. We have agreed terms and are working hard to complete the transaction at the earliest opportunity.”
Although Newcastle were quick to verify the statement’s authenticity, it appears several hurdles remain. There are also several caveats. Despite living in Dubai, Sheikh Khalid is a member of the royal family in neighbouring Abu Dhabi, and a cousin of the Manchester City owner, Sheikh Mansour. It has previously been regarded as unlikely that members of the same ruling family would buy rival football clubs.
Sheik Mansour’s buyout of City was conducted amid utmost secrecy and, as a rule of thumb, the takeovers that actually happen tend to be conducted in a similar clandestine manner, so the leaking of details rings alarm bells.
Moreover any new owner at St James’ Park would have to pass the Premier League’s owners’ and directors’ test. Negotiations may or may not have yet reached that stage but the Premier League on Monday adopted Newcastle’s public “no comment” stance.
It was reported last year that Sheikh Khaled was interested in buying Liverpool but the owners did not consider the offer.
His discussions with Newcastle and the club’s possible switch to Middle Eastern control perhaps explains the apparent impasse over Rafael Benítez’s contract extension as manager. He is believed to be on a family break in Spain but his deal runs out on 30 June and he has been in negotiations with Ashley and his representatives over a new agreement for the past 10 days.
Sheikh Khaled, the founder of the Bin Zayed Group, a collection of national and international businesses operating in assorted fields including construction and energy, is thought to be keen to retain Benítez. He would hope to be in charge in time to furnish the manager with a sizeable summer transfer window budget.

Stuttgart are relegated and holy shit did they ever deserve it...
Really nice tho that it is Union Berlin coming up, fantastic atmosphere and a likable team instead of Hamburg. Also nice to finally have a true former east german team back in the league I guess, it has been 10 years+

This billionaire guy wanted Liverpool in the summer and did not provide proof of funds so Liverpool owners didn't even humour him, so Newcastle might get burnt here as Mike Ashley just wants some money back lol and be done with the abuse he gets.
Also wonder how this works with him having family links with Man City owner, what if they start loaning players off them etc xD

Apparently they are not related.
Also is this peak German celebration? Just listen to the announcer lol

Rumours are that Valverde might be on his way out
With Roberto Martinez to be his successor

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos asked to leave to join a team in China on a free transfer, club president Florentino Perez has said, adding that he turned down the defender's request.
"They [Ramos and his agent] came to see me in my office and told me they had a very good offer from China but the league rules over there wouldn't permit them to pay the transfer fee," Perez told radio station Onda Cero on Monday.
"What was I going to tell him? We said this couldn't happen but we'd speak to the club to satisfy him but that Real Madrid could not afford to let its captain leave for free as that would set a terrible precedent for other players."

nice geolocked videos you have there :D:D:D

That basically happens almost every year in the promotion/relegation playoffs.
|
I don't know if that Ramos thing can be read into anything, but it gives a picture that he doesn't believe Real will bounce back right away with one big transfer window.
|
I think he just wants more cash now that he's the boss. Worrying thing for Madrid if they don't get rid of him, Marcelo, Kroos, or Modric. Not that they suck now, but I don't see them bouncing back without bigger changes, like Barça.
