Last season PL was also overall the best league going by coefficient points, and they won the league by 19 points. The best team of the past 2 seasons is either city or barcelona. liverpool is in contention for this season, not last. To add to that: "arguably" means it can be argued, meaning the claim is City is like.. at least top 3 (with Barça and Liverpool for example). Which is not a weird statement to make.

But there have been rumors about him wanting to leave to a club where he gets guaranteed playing time. And it seems like Dortmund is not sure if he is ready to be a starter. Götze has a contract till 2020. Most likely he will extend his contract but there is a small possibility of him leaving. Alcacer has been crazy good when he is playing. But his fitness is a big problem as he was barely able to play 90 minutes and had a lot of muscle issues. So if one of Isak or Götze leaves they might get a new backup in, considering that you never know how much Alcacer can really play. But maybe he can fix his fitness issues over the summer and Isak comes back keeping his good eredivisie form. Then there is no need to add a striker. Also fans are screaming for a more physical striker that can win headers and fight defenders. But i dont think that is going to happen while Favre is coach.

It's pretty easy to spin storylines out of nowhere by connecting a few dots, but that Conte thing sure happened at a convenient time.

They played long stretches of this season without their best player even (de Bruyne). If Pep goes to Juve (which I absolutely wouldn't rule out) it's probably a combination of impeding problems for City and the fact that the press in England starts to become agressive regarding those issues / his ties with Abu Dhabi etc and talks less about the positive aspects of him / his club.

Fair play to him though Juventus have loadsa money and winning Serie A makes him have all top 4 leagues trophies under his belt before the age of 60 which i believe he said he is done coaching at that age? Pep and Ronaldo together gonna be juicy fun though :D

Pep and Ronaldo together gonna be juicy fun though :D Okay, what exactly is new about this? He basically said at the beginning of his job at Bayern, that he has no intention of staying longer than 3-4 years at a club and then simply needs a change. Also Mou lately always left his clubs at rock bottom ^.^ So not sure how you would compare this to Pep.

Then again don't think Real was 3 seasons but still, and he also didn't leave Chelsea first time round at rock bottom either. But i was just pointing towards 3 seasons and gone even if Pep leaves his teams at the top i was just making that point xD He left Madrid in shambles. With players like Cristiano and Pepe against him, all the Casillas drama and the supporters in a civil war between pro-mou and against-mou. And last season they had already given up in la Liga in November.
