Apart from those, other options could be Xavi (no experience and imo too close to some players; but definitely in the future, he could be a new Pep), Setien (no big team experience but has Barça philosophy), Sarri (perfect tactics, probably not the right personality though), Bielsa (same)... Arteta for some wild picks xD

Valverde reached the semis of CL (to liverpool who will be the favorites in the final). this season lost the spanish cup final to europa league semi finalists without Luis Suarez who was injured - don't forget who beat real madrid 5-1 this season ah and at the start of the season he also beat Sevilla for the super cup Tuchel lost in last 16 of CL (to a team that won nothing this season and wont even play CL next season). lost the national cups to the last placed in the league and to the 10th placed, probably the worst campaign in a long time for paris no?

Hard to blame Tuchel for all that though, he barely had enough players to field a starting eleven for most of the year.

Valverde has had good RESULTS but the team isn't convincing. Many of those wins were heavily influenced by luck, something that shouldn't be the main quality to define a Barça team. For the past 10 years, Barça has "deserved" to win 95% of their games. This season, they didn't deserve much. Reaching the Copa final was pure chance given how Madrid dominated both games, and winning the Liga with the 2 Madrid clubs failing that hard isn't a hard feat for a team with that squad and budget. Results aren't everything. Madrid's 2 last seasons have been catastrophic because they were happy with "results" and didn't want to make any change. Winning the CL last year sure was a big thing, but I'm not sure fans were happy to say goodbye to the league and the cup in December.

I liked how he made the team work harder and play up until that MU game, but it's true that he hasn't proven much yet. Mourinho and Allegri wanted the job apparently, so they CAN get someone better :p

Mourinho and all the PSG ultras in the same side. It would be nice to have a director of football that doesn't do stuff like bringing Boateng as a sub for Suarez, after selling Alcacer and Munir.

I was almost certain there was some kind of hidden genius in such a weird move, but then it turned out to be as underwhelming as it first seemed.

A lot of past-its, two marquee signings who haven't really delivered. It's just really poor for a modern Barcelona team, Luis Enrique's squad was so much better. Enrique played with alot of Energy and desire. Sure the players may have been better/younger but there is no excuse for just not coaching a team into a level that doesnt let an opponent walk all over you, regardless of where you are playing. Rijkjaards team was a completely different time for the game in general so I dont see the point in going that far. But I would contest that Rijkaard was boring for a coach. Hes certainly acheived more than he was perhaps good for. But again not a debate worth going far into. Point being, once you are used to a certain style or way of playing that the club has owned as an identity for a decade and has at times dominated and other times been successful competitive and entertaining then its a bit of a slap to people who come to love that. Then you start doing the opposite, and thats not great but then not only are you not entertaining but you are also failing at key moments and losing in exactly the way your style is designed to not lose. Thats kinda of unacceptable.
