I think it's this. http://www.physioadvisor.com.au/9587950/biceps-tendonitis-biceps-tendinopathy-physioad.htm It's still going on. It hurts when I press on the inner side of my right arm, just above the elbow. I haven't been doing any direct biceps work since it started, but I continued to do bench presses and overhead presses. I thought those would be okay, but even those still cause a slight strain (not quite pain) in the lower biceps/upper forearm region. Anybody have any experience with this sort of injury? Do I need to quit bench pressing and overhead pressing too until this heals? I don't want those lifts to go down, but I'm worried that this may become worse and increase the chances of future injury. ![]() I've been foam rolling my arm (particularly the sore spot) and icing it. Anything else I could do to expedite recovery? Yep, got this in both arms when I was starting to do a lot of pulling and mantles. Hurts a lot. I just basically stopped doing anything that hurt it for a few weeks/moth. It slowly faded, I started pulling again and it's never come back in several years of serious usage. I guess the tendon strengthened. I used it a bit during the healing, just not anything that really hurt. I don't think its a big deal.

Wow that's pretty good. One of the best rowers ever to go to my high school pulled like 6:24 as his PR and he's going to Harvard for crew. For myself, I've been trying to be as consistent as possible with working out for the last month. I think I haven't missed a single workout yet, and I feel like the linear progression has been going fine. I started off very light for all of my lifts, but everything seems to be good so far. Just hit BW+30x6 on pull-ups a couple of days ago and I think I'll be able to continue progressing on every lift for a while. I also just started my spring break, so this marks the beginning of the end of my high school. I think I have like 14 days of school left at this point and then finals, so I'm almost done. I also haven't really updated about my depression or anything. There are days where it's awful, but I have medication for it (non-SSRI) that I take as-needed. It's hard because I have days where I feel absolutely incredible and have tons of energy and then there are days where my I hit an emotional valley and struggle immensely. I'm close to the end of high school though, so I only have a few more weeks of this until I'm done.

i've been a lurker here for quite some time and want to start posting/learning more i currently do crossfit (insert lol here) i get that people here mock cf'ers a lot but i love it and my favorite part is anything in the weightlifting department (oly lifts and power lifts) and rowing (i used to row at a amateur level) as of late i have started to stagnate in my cf pr's be it cardio/lifting/etc and have begun to add swimming since ~1 week ago and already feel great benefits in my cardio. I blow at swimming and all the gasping for air has made running much easier when you can get air anytime you want. Looking forward to keeping that up. Next I really want to get better in my lifts. The gym I go to doesn't allow you to workout anything other than their WOD (workout of the day) so i'm not sure how to get better cause a 1 hour class is just not enough. Finally my gymnastics suck a lot but I am quite tall (1'92) and friggin heavy atm (currently 120kg's) need to drop down close to 105kg would be my ideal weight imo and then I can start really working on that. Been working on eating clean as much as I can but I am a super emotional eater type person--- i vent my stress on food and have been trying to change that. when I started CF a little over a year ago i was ~135kgs so progress is going slowly but surely with a few relapses (i.e. world cup month) but I think as time goes on I am definitely getting stronger. Swimming is so so so amazing there are so many benefits. The cold water in itself is great for recovery. Anyways thats about that. I'll be posting some numbers and maybe vids to get tips on how to improve on my lifts. Today has a fun wod where part A is 20 min to find a heavy power clean + hang squat clean my PR in that is 100kg's gonna try for 105-110 today as I have felt stronger recently.

Can't even remember doing anything special, one day I just had it and expected it to go away on its own. It's not really in the way when I lift, it doesn't even hurt all the time, it's just when I've been sedentary for a while and then reach for something. It always hurts a decent bit when I wake up in the morning and go in the shower. I think it might be a stiff neck that's somehow migrated down, I've been sick with different shit for two months now. I've had a bajillion shoulder problems so I'll try to help :p On March 26 2015 23:34 JumpinJupiters wrote: rowing on the erg for me felt more fun after i felt what it feels like on a boat of 8 - that is really really fun specially when the 8 synchronize! i've been a lurker here for quite some time and want to start posting/learning more i currently do crossfit (insert lol here) i get that people here mock cf'ers a lot but i love it and my favorite part is anything in the weightlifting department (oly lifts and power lifts) and rowing (i used to row at a amateur level) as of late i have started to stagnate in my cf pr's be it cardio/lifting/etc and have begun to add swimming since ~1 week ago and already feel great benefits in my cardio.
