I pull 540lbs and only back squat 315lbs ass to grass lol. Ironically enough, my front squat is as high as my back squat.
Deadlift has always come easy to me, squat has always been miserable. monkey arms, long femurs, short torso.
If i came into the gym on thursday, but it is now friday and i am still here, do i come back on Saturday or Sunday?
Edit:
Decent gym day.
Squat: 185x3, 195x3, 205x3, 215x3, 225x3, 230x3, 235x3. 235 is a 10 lb PR since my hip injury. 235 was very squat-morning-esque, and my back felt very tight afterwards. I didn't try going for the back off sets; will attempt to make a better shot at 235 (perhaps less leading up to it) and complete the backoff sets (80% for sets of 5) next time.
Matched my all-time PR press afterwards, then did incline DB bench, and finished off with upper back work and tricep extensions. Will look to beat that PR the next time I do a push workout!

Some pictures will come soon, though with clothes first, shirtless can wait another month. And yeah, I was fat for the better time of 17 years or so, I need to get an operation to get rid of some skin. It's not pretty, but I have seen much worse. It is not too bad, but of course you don't want that after all the effort you put in. I will do that sometime next year.
today: pclean 60kg 5x3 dead 80kg 1x5, 100kg (iirc) 5-4 ish then rushed to do bench 65kg 10-8 ish (KILLED my arms after ohp yesterday) and squat 60kg 10-10 ish
first time ive managed to do 60kg pcleans so rediculously easily. form is not great, infact form was only acceptable on 1 rep (3rd rep in the video), when i had my body and mind tight and alive (was last rep of the day). but this is huge progress for me, no 10-minute-mindfucking per rep, confidence in form, knowing what im doing wrong (jumping back, feet frogging out, poor aim before the jump, not enough jump power)
deads look dodgy in the video but the 2nd 2 sets felt good (or felt safe anyway). what can you say about them tho?
edit:
just to save you the time i KNOW the following things are wrong with pclean: - jumping backwards - poor aim with the bar - feet frogging on the jump/landing - not enough power in the jump - mobility not letting me get low enough to be in correct position - most of this can be consciously improved by thinking and largely by entering the lift with massively improved tightness and vigor today i was just happy to be getting the 60kg up there so easily

You're not finishing the second pull. Bring your hips further through. Your feet don't have to actually leave the ground. Your rack position needs work. Get them elbows up.
Definitely seen worse powercleans though, gj.
As far as the deadlift, big thing that's jumping out at me is that your weight/the bar/center of gravity is way too far forward. You're standing on your toes, the bar is like six inches from your shins, etc.

Weird, I pull 530, back squat 450 atg and front squat 380. I also have like 15 extra kg for my legs :-D lol
Leaning backwards or hyperextending after each rep in the deadlift makes the exercise unnecessarily dangerous. As far as I know some professional powerlifters do this during competition to exaggerate their lockout for the judges but it should probably be avoided by us laymen
One good cue I found useful was not to try to throw my upper body back/pull the weight but rather try to hump the bar or drive your hips. Make it a push movement.

Best tip i ever got for deadlift form, and the way i find easiest to teach it to other people came from blondeonblonde when he posted that its the most, uh "sport specific" movement there is.

You're gonna be happy Decaf! Got my hands on a pair of good weightlifting shoes and I am activelly practicing my Oly lifts! I'm only starting so at this point I'm enforcing proper technique. When The time is right I'll start maxing on Snatches and cleans.

Awesome man! Waiting anxiously for those nude pics :$
snatch - 65kg (tied PR), 3 misses at 70kg clean&jerk - 90kg (tied PR), couple of cleans without jerk at 95kg back squat - 130kg (PR for high bar). deadlift - 155kg (PR, felt my thumb was going to snap because of hook grip)

Doesnt matter, u have the best abs I've ever seen, no homo.
Awesome session, I smoked my squats. I think the 600kg total is within my reach again. Got a vid, perfect fucking form aside from the hesitation before the start.
