Really be honest with yourself about how tired you are. If you think you can go and actually get a good workout in, then absolutely go. Skip as few workouts as humanly possible... But if it's actually going to stop you from finishing your sets/hitting your weight goals, it's probably better to go tomorrow. Just don't turn into "that guy" who's too tired to go every other workout, or who's sick, or who's just too busy that day...

Going to do front squats instead of heavy back squats; gonna rape bench; gonna work on form for DL. I think this is pretty good for my current physical conditions. Presumably your legs are strong enough since they're able to power up just fine. And I thought that a good morning is harder on the lower back than a squat so it can't be your core/lowerback either. From what I've read, people say it's due to weak legs, shifting the load to the stronger lower back so that you can finish the lift, but that doesn't really make much sense to me. Any ideas?

![]() Really sucks because I had it all timed out so that MLG wouldn't be too bad, but now I have to push everything back a day. Week 2 and I'm already fucking up....badwalrus. + Show Spoiler + Although if it is any defense, I missed it because the date I was on went much longer than expected...and since this whole working out thing is at least partially a means for me to get more dates...I guess missing the means to accomplish the ends isn't a terrible sacrifice. ![]() Also...who's going to MLG?

If you lean forward, your legs can still push against the weight, but they aren't pushing DIRECTLY against the weight, some of it is held by the lower back. It's a matter of leverage, but it's due to either lifting weights that are too heavy for you, or to not tightening the lower back muscles enough. This is also most of the reason you can squat more weight going low-bar than you can high-bar.

thanks tlhf for the motivation did everything i planned to do: back squats: 185 lb x 10 x 1 Just wanted to see if i could do it front squats: 185 x 5 x 3 Bench: 5-5-4 @ 210 lb DL: 275 lb x 5 x 1 Working on form, I think I still have a tiny bit of rounding, might move this down to 255 next time ![]() Cheers

It's most of the reason you can squat more weight going low-bar than you can high-bar. I dont think it has anything to do with high-bar or low-bar squatting. watch some videos on californiastrength, they pretty much all do it when they max out. here's my opinion on the matter: yes, you should do your best to avoid doing a "squat morning". but i'm not at a competition, there is no referee that will tell me "this lift was invalid" etc. so if i manage to squat it without hurting myself, i count it edit: reading your post again it's possible I might have misunderstood you ![]()

I don't know, if you always reset when there is a ´minor´ issue with form, you are probably not gonna squat much ever.

Few days ago I swam for AN HOUR straight and nearly drowned by the end. Alternated between strokes every 5 laps or so.

For me, I have an insane amount of concentration just because I need to have great form and breathing technique for it to not be miserable. I'm constantly focused on my how my arms hit the water, how I'm turning my head to breath, flip turns, trying desperately to prevent a gallon of water from going up my nose, etc. As far as I'm concerned, swimming and biking outdoors are some of the most fun types of cardio.

Symptons: lots of pain on upper right side (from above), hurts more when turning hand outwards. No visible inflamation and no pain making a fist. Will upload a video of my deadlift later.
