The third work set should always be easy, you have to do a backup-set for 8reps with this weight at the end of the workout. I would assume that you started weigh to high. What routine did you do before and what did your numbers look like when you transitioned?
Probably failed because I had a fitness test a day before and I had my diet messed up the entire week. Don't know why I failed tbh , got that weight down incredibly easy last week. Maybe overtraining or something not too sure. I was on starting strength before and my squat maxed out at around 330 month or two ago. my third set was 300lbs and was aiming for 320lbs. Probably gonna cut the weight a bit next week. Try again.
EDIT: also I'm having like nipples which are extremely visible through shirts , my chest does have fat on it although not manboobs kinda thing , feels like my left nipple is painful to touch . How do I get rid of this?!?

Woooo about to start my Sat afternoon workout before partying all night.
Even though I haven't benched in over a week I'm still going to try and be aggressive and add some weight. Same with deadlifts. Even though last time I DLed the bar slipped out of my hands and I had to finish up with alternate grip. Bleh, gunna tough it out anyway.
Just gotta remember to pace myself when doing squats LoL. Hopefully my friend shows up and we lift together, which will mean mandatory rest time between sets for each of us.

Yes. Feel free to contact me in this thread or via PM if you want to discuss.

Gogo dude! Fuck that shit up. And whats wrong with alternate grip? Imo anything that lets you lift more weigth is legit
Today was AWESOME, I was fucking strong. Every set went great with good form, with the exception of the 3rd set of squats, where for some reason I decided to dance around like a pretty ballerina with a barbell on her shoulders, instead of just squatting down like a man.
All my PRs are so close now, I can already smell them.
Max out starting monday (or wednesday). Already excited
Previous maxes Bench: 185 x 1 Deadlift: 315x1 or 325x1 - I can't remember this one, I think I went with 325. Squat: 260 x 1
This time I'll be keeping a notepad to write down instead of trying to recall from memory.
Looking for at least equal on bench, 340 on deadlift, and 275 on squat. I'm about 25/30 pounds lighter than before, so I'm not looking for too big of an increase. Would put me at an 800 pound total.

was anorexic (imo) around 16. also, years of playing mmos and not giving one shit left me not ever caring when im hungry. just became detached from it, like you can become detached from feeling pain. left me physically weaker than any woman, and also pisses people off when im out with them and never make a suggestion to get food (makes me a "follower" rather than a "leader"). i still find it very very hard to do such simple stuff as drink water when im thirsty, etc. im very vulnerable to fuckups when i get depressed etc

I feel you, was the same when I was 15-16. Whole days that I went through "forgetting" to eat <.<
other day when i got to the gym, i asked around if anyone was using the squat rack and a guy came over and said he was. i started stretching/warmup and doing sit-down squats on the plain bench.
another guy came up and said can he use my bench (it has a soft cover and as far as i know its just meant as a chair to sit on). i said sure and him and a friend started standing on it and doing really lame kicks into the air. like they stand one leg on it then push themselves up and kick the air. wth
so the guy who had told me he was using the squat rack, at this point, had not used the squat rack but had gone round about 5 different machines doing fuck-knows what. so i just took his weights off and claimed it for myself
after a while the "kicking" guys abandoned the bench coz they found a better idea to practice their beginners martial arts kicks. they claimed the plain rack and used it to balance themselves while raising their legs into the air in feeble practice kicks. literally they were just leaning against it like it was a pole or a wall.
i overheard one guy saying "that was a quick 20!" and the other guy said something like "can really feel the burn!"

If you had that on video, i bet it would be the most viewed VOD on TL.
21.30 on a saturday evening, logging out and going to sleep >.<
Such a manly gym!
So I read the fitocracy thread was interested in checking it out, does anyone here have an invite code they can send me?
Yeah it is great
@FFGen: That would've been hillarious to see on a vid!
As for the notion of going super early to bed and getting 10-12hours of good sleep...cancelled. Got some "great" friends that demanded to go and taste the new mead on of them had brewed. oh well...
So it's going to be my turn to conduct a upper body workout session and was wondering if any of you guys had some ideas or suggestions to put into a workout session.
The one we did today was, 25 pushups, 25 supine bicycles, repeat pushups, 25 sit ups, pushups, 25 2 second crunches, 25 pushups and 1 minute plank. Did that routine twice, but we completed it in less then 30 minutes without reaching muscle failure (some of us).
The goal for us next time is to put in some other workout for pushups in between ab workouts.
The workout you're planning is for 5-6 very physically fit army soldiers, so feel free to make some brutal workouts.
edit: Also we workout in a fully equipped gym, but the workout is more focused for working out without weights.

Why on earth would you do only bodyweight exercises with a fully equipped gym?
weighted planks (put a 5/10kg plate carefully on the lower back), pullups, hanging leg raises, dragon flags, weighted pushups (??), handstand pushups
Just something I'm pulling out now. But your routine looks kinda easy when you've done it several times. It also doesn't allow any proper progession which is kinda bad...
