Though I think he was saying for actual console, so the answer is probably FR/LG when you rule out DS and onward games due to DS emulators on phones draining your battery stupidly fast.

In like d&d you'd just have access to water with like a tank + create water, or use some other magical device, but in Exalted you could do that in a fancier way, or just circumvent the need to breath at all, or be able to hold your breath for several hours at a time, or just get a wetsuit for armour, etc. On October 24 2015 20:49 Alaric wrote: In Exalted, are the Terrestrials born "normal" people, then one day boom, Exalted stasus revealed, they physically change and become recognisable as an Exalted and get powers and stuff (and later become mad)? Partially. The original Terrestrials were regular people blessed by the 5 dragons, so they're "purebloods" (ew though). Purebloods are guaranteed to exalt eventually iirc. The strongest / most noble houses have some of the least diluted terrestrial blood, so their children are more likely to exalt, but there's always the potential that they won't. So many of them come from terrestrial households and go to special schools etc so they're not really "normal" people in a civilian sense. Even the ones that never exalt still occupy a higher than normal status as their children may still exalt etc. Also it's not entirely blood based and iirc the dragons do have some say in who they bless still but I'm not 100% on the terrestrial fluff. Outside of the big terrestrial empire, a lot more mixing went on / there's less of a focus on purity of lineage etc., so more "normal people -> exalt" stuff will happen out there. When they exalt though, they do immediately change yeah. Big immediate power boost, can now perceive essence, etc. They're not always differentiable from regular citizens at a glance, but typically the more spiritual power they have the more obviously exalted (tree hair, stone teeth, on-fire, etc.) they look. Also minor note regarding the curse that makes them go mad: the terrestrials don't actually go mad over time, they just occasionally flip out.

I still have a soft spot for crystal as probably the best of the games. So much to do, and none of that "this part of the game requires multiplayer/an event code/whatever" crap thats annoying about the others. Plus if you start on a colour game it's much easier to move to an advance once then vice versa.

Emerald/Ruby/Sapphire have battle island though, that's a lot of fun. The games after that had a little too much to do, but mining and building hideouts was fun.

The games after that had a little too much to do, but mining and building hideouts was fun. Kanto is pretty easy if you just keep your steamroll party you used for the elite 4, but I found it you start incorporating new kanto pokemon into your group it's pretty well paced. Also the sheer number of legendaries you get to go around and hunt! And yeah, the linear-ness was great. None of that "more content through obfuscation" thing where they just make like 30 minigames and spread them everywhere.
