No he didnt. Reynor clawed his way back because he's the better player I am sorry but no. It was 4 base Protoss vs 3 base Zerg and it was basically 1 mining base vs 2 or 2.5; He had disruptors and the better army, simply not attacking - even letting him take another base would ahve been fine while teching to carriers. That would be the first option. The second option would have been to properly control his army and stick with the disruptor pressure + oracle revelation and pressure via prisma warpin or runby in the main or 3rd. It was a 100% throw by herO and whoever cannot see his clearly isn't in touch with Starcraft. He should have been happy already going 2 robo disruptors vs lurkers and there were little options to lose besides constantly running into lurkers and getting all core units abducted without actually hitting lurkers.... so no, it was not "clawed his way back" . And to be frank: this series was FAR BELOW Reynors real skill level. :X I am under the same impression he is not at his ladder/wcs level, HM should take this. He often plays below his level against koreans, I'm sure Heromarine will have to play against a stronger Reynor.
I am not sure, I think the stage matters, HM beats him 3-0 at the last homestory cup, we'll see even if tbf, big Gabe can beat Reynor at his best.

It s utterly hillarious, how some people here watched that game 5 then drew the conclusion, "yep, there s a balance issue, hard proof right here" i dont even ... .:D

vipers abducting units much larger than themselves still looks funny

Your analysis here shows you don't understand the place ones head is in, in those situations. Sure: Reynor clawing his way back relies on herO making mistakes, but he often gets caught up in his attacks. You assume herO has perfect information and is level headed, but in that situation no ones head is. You can at least see in Reynors face that he was pretty sure he lost when he was back on 1 mining base and had to be defensive with lurkers. Not sure how herO could have thought he wasn't ahead by a lot. I'm guessing he did and that's why he made that reckless carriers switch which wasn't a good idea.

i really hope that Big Game goes trough first, so we can have herO vs. Reynor rematch

Not gonna happen, terran doesn’t deserve to win against Zerg

It says, if one player plays perfect but still cannot win against a normal player, or a terrible player can win against a normal player, there may be something wrong about balance. But if both players play terrible and the outcome is simply decided by who make less mistakes, how do you know whether there are balance issue?

Free farm? Do ultras gain gold from kills?

Ballsy by Heromarine to exand there, now he's pretty dead tho.
|
I'm impressed with Heromarine's resilience, but at no point in this game has he remotely looked ahead.
|
|
That felt like a painfully slow death. HeroMarine did well to fight and attempt to stay in it though.

Holy fuck Reynor is so good. This guy won't be stopped at all, especially not in ZvZ

Why try to go bio vs Reynor? Bio can work if you have better mechanics, otherwise mech is the better option.
