In any case, the results point to the matches being quite fun, could have been good. I was finally snowboarding the whole day and regret nothing Is your infection actually gone? If so, sweet that you managed to actually do what you went there for. I am now leaning towards he opinion of the doctor I saw in Thursday - who is not my regular physician - that I have two separate issues. One is a mycosis or candidosis of mouth, triggered by the steroids I got for MS, and other one was a streptococal infection in throat. The first one I have for quite some time, it raises my temperature very slightly, but it seems to be otherwise asymptomatic, while the other one was successfully treated by the antibiotics she gave me. Because my throat is now fine and I feel completely healthy - trust me, a whole day of skiing while sick is a very easily noticeable experience. But this all has to be confirmed by objective testing, which I hope to get done first think on Tuesday. At any case, I took a small risk and it paid off, I didn't get sick and I got a marvelous skiing day. Those are now more precious than ever because I have no way of knowing when the MS hits my motor capabilities, but for now, I can confirm that my legs are perfectly fine, because I have did ride better than ever today. Back in school we had the opportunity to learn snowboarding or skiing, i think i made the wrong call :/ No problem, learn the other thing now. I learned to ski at around 26 and to snowboard at 31 and knowing both is absolutely awesome. Now I only snowboard, because I am an old person and skiing is too painful for my joints. Having the legs tied together in a fixed position has drawbacks in logistics, but great benefits for not hurting your knees. I guess you are right. I mean skiing was pretty fun so it's not that bad. But snowboarding seems to be more enjoyable overall? People ask me that a lot for some reason (which is silly, because I am not very good at either) and my opinion is that if you want to transport yourself between two points that are separated by rideable snow, using ski is a no-brainer, they are just much more efficient. But I enjoy the activity on snowboard much more, it is just really relaxing and it's such a great way of movement. It's really hard to explain, but it just feels so natural to move down a hill on snowboard, it's like this is the way humans were somehow meant to move. Also it's much easier to deal with bad conditions or slopes that are too hard, because there are easy tricks that allow you to navigate virtually any kind of slope on a board (even though without very much fun, but without getting hurt). An added benefit is, that snowboard is so much easier to take off-piste than ski - usually the most optimal ski for a groomed slope are not very good for deep powder and the whole set of skills is very different, whereas a snowboard is a snowboard. Sadly, it's not a very easy thing to do - surely, you can find a nice small shortcut here and there and it's fun, but for the best off-piste experience, you need actual powder, which is rather rare unless you are willing to chase it accross Europe, and you need to have someone to show you what to do, because once you leave the immediate vicinity of official slopes it gets really dangerous pretty fast and it's very hard to self-teach. I had one such friend and I enjoyed a couple of great powder days two years ago with him but the dickhead moved very far away and thus my freeriding career went to a halt. I would now dare to try some easier things without him, but I don't have any other friend into it and riding off-piste alone is not very wise.
Well personally i am not someone who needs to live on the edge as much as possible so off-piste activities aren't really my biggest priority tbh :D But yeah the movement of snowboardign just looks more enjoyable, as you said " it's like this is the way humans were somehow meant to move". I don't really have the ability to learn it in the near future but i will certainly try it sometimes. With that being said, i like skiing a lot as well, the speed going down a hill is just awesome :D Great to hear that you could have some fun today after that boring one with group c haha ^^

They are a bit behind schedule though but so far it looks promising. Especially because 2gd is smart enough to include every feature people these days could want (skins, a good tournament feature, matchmaking, great personality of the things you play (eggbots), etc)

Breaking news CSGO is more popular than StarCraft.
On the bright side the future of esports had a $100k tournament where it got like 10k viewers.

Yes. Quake was the greatest 1on1 game ever made.

Seems wrong to me tbh, csgo is incredibly enjoying to watch even if you understand very little of it.

Which is really good for 2017 SC2 to be honest. Will probably be second best behind blizzcon again.

Was literally writing out the exact same post. It's almost like people can have different opinions Having opinions is ok but you can also look at the game and see what it does well/badly for spectators in general. CSGO's round based system alone makes it really easy to understand, every new round (in theory) a new chance to win it. Players get removed when they die till the end of the round which creates a lot of tense 1vs2, 1vs1, etc situations. Also while the first person pov in general is incredibly bad for spectating, csgo is just slow enough where it doesn't affect the game negatively, it even gives us easy to see skill checks because we see exactly what the players do (i still argue that first person pov is underused in sc2, would make games more hype 100% if used well). So yeah you don't have to like csgo by any means, but it does so many things well that it's ignorant to say it's a bad spectator experience.

It's even weirder because my first game was Unreal Tournament.
I think it's nostalgia though for the most part. While I still enjoy gaming things will never live up to the old days.

I have a controversial opinion I think.
StarCraft is the best 1v1 game ever made.
