I don't even know why this exists in the first place. A gateway based PvP would probably be extremely exciting, why did they need to promote disruptor play that much ? cuz gateways are too much like Terran, y'know

He is saying that something can be fun to watch, but that doesn't make it a good part of a strategy game. If it's too volatile and based on a lot of luck. PvP definatly seems like a MU where far greater comebacks can be seen now. Than ever before. (I'm not saying that I agree with his statement. Just explaining. yeah i didn't want to read into his comment without him explaining. I disagree with him. I don't think it's that volatile considering people will learn how to play vs them etc.

You can even push those advantage further because colossi have no cooldown. Disruptors can always stage a comeback with a right shot.
Which in my opinion makes it a bit too coinflippy.

No effect on other matchups. Disruptor, tempests, and collosus were the three reasons for PvP being so horrible. There was time in HOTS when zealots+archons+immortals were used and they were great to watch like BW PvP. Zealot archon immortal vs zealot archon immortal is literrally the most a move game possible rofl
You are right. This is not what we want. Just flipping a coin.

Most of the time it is. Something like that can only happen when both have really high number of colossi. Not gonna happen with 1 vs 5 colossi.

That was different because Reavers were much better than Disruptors for one reason THE SCARAB ITSELF DID NOT GO THROUGH UNITS! That is what made the Reaver much better unit, you can actually micro the targeted unit away, not keep blinking to survive because splitting is pointless.
This is a good point. If the Disruptor ball didn't phase through units it'd be a lot more balanced while having the same effect.

No, you must not have watched any of those games. Positioning matters and defenders have an advantage.
It's colossus fight that number determines everything.

The problem from a spectator pov with disruptors is that the shots MISS most of the time. It's anticlimatic People compared it to Baneling wars in zvz, but in zvz there are actual trades happening. What we saw in the pvp was mostly stalkers/tempests shooting at each other while disruptors deny an actual engagement.

yeah collosus vs collossus was FAR better than disruptor wars. I'm disgusted by watching this...

So tense that I had to shake up to wake up a few times: 10 minutes of waiting for a big shot that could not be capitalized. So intense.

This is nothing like Dragoon/Reaver, which required actual finesse to win. Right now Stalker/Disruptor is ridiculous in terms of how forgiving it is (how many times did we see 15-25 supply evaporate and it had no effect because the numerically superior army could not capitalize?) and how little commitment Disruptors require to pay off. Constant sharking in itself is not interesting to me personally. Yeah no what the fuck you couldn't capitalize as quickly as you think even if you got a few dragoons since reavers were still dangerous. The thing that could make it more like dragoon reaver is a reduction of movement speed on the disruptor so you would need stuff like the warp prism or something.
