No effect on other matchups. Disruptor, tempests, and collosus were the three reasons for PvP being so horrible. There was time in HOTS when zealots+archons+immortals were used and they were great to watch like BW PvP. Zealot archon immortal vs zealot archon immortal is literrally the most a move game possible rofl No, you must not have watched any of those games. Positioning matters and defenders have an advantage. It's colossus fight that number determines everything. Positioning matters and defenders have advantage in collosi and roach wars too. But it's lame to watch and play so AMOVE is what it's called.

Colossi wars were everything about positioning. Colossus is a very snowbally unit. You have a few more than your opponent and you gain huge advantage. You can even push those advantage further because colossi have no cooldown. Disruptors can always stage a comeback with a right shot. sOs beat PartinG when he was down like 4 colossi because of a superior fight tho, I don't think the advantage is as clear as you make it. Most of the time it is. Something like that can only happen when both have really high number of colossi. Not gonna happen with 1 vs 5 colossi. That game was like 1v5 tho

Glad that a lot of people like it here in the forums, gives me hope that I am not totally insane. I can believe people find Stalker/Disruptor wars entertaining; I can't believe they think this is an example of good RTS design. It reminded me of SCBW Dragoon + Reavers. I can't believe that you didn't like it, especially when you consider what kind of horrors we had in WoL and HotS that called themselves "good PvP"... That was different because Reavers were much better than Disruptors for one reason THE SCARAB ITSELF DID NOT GO THROUGH UNITS! That is what made the Reaver much better unit, you can actually micro the targeted unit away, not keep blinking to survive because splitting is pointless. This is a good point. If the Disruptor ball didn't phase through units it'd be a lot more balanced while having the same effect. It would just make Disruptors almost impossible to use since units clump way too much in SC2, and you would end up killing your own units most of the time.

Defender gets the advantage in PvP? Hardly...

I actually did enjoy the micro involved in big colossus fights: kiting, flanks, targeting. In my opinion they should try to make these kind of fights last longer, instead of being done in few seconds.

Coinflipping mean it's based on luck which is obviously not true.

Those people actually play the game not twitch viewers who care about "Dem Explosion by Michael Bay".

Colossus fight is interesting to watch, the issue is that it ends most of the time with one engagement. But I am in the minority with liking roach war because of its constant trade and positioning and harassing
