Yeah, but once you're set on your path of tech then you usually don't deviate Yeah, I mean before the Council; unless my memory fails me Rain's Probe scouted the Nexus, then he decided to go Council to all-in. That's what I don't understand with herO's decision to fast expand, to me it seems it gives Rain two options: a) reactively expand himself for an even game; b) reactively all-in with the tech of his choice. The thing with fast expand PvPs is that you always get tech behind it really fast. So it forces the opponent to either take a slightly behind spot (tech won't be far ahead, expand will be behind) or all in where, even if they kill the nexus, the game doesn't necessarily end. They might not even be ahead if they kill the nexus. This doesn't make sense. The one pulling an all in has more probes, faster tech and more units and the fast expander has lost 400 minerals
The probe count is usually quite even because the all inner cuts probe production. Tech is NOT much faster as you saw this game. herO's blink finished only slightly after Rain's and his unit count was even as well. And, of course, he's got defender's advantage with overcharge.

Still a good showing from CJ I think.

Gotta give major credit to Coach Park too. He did that much with a team that doesn't have quite the star power of SKT1 when he was there. It's very impressive.

The unit count isn't even. Rain was building a dt shrine, lost his msc and still won a fight with DAMAGED stalkers outside herO's natural...
The last fight before the dt warpin shows all thats wrong with fast expands...

Man what a close series, 3 days with several heart-breaking moments Glad Rain made it through, but CJ was still so close Wonder why they were lacking of manner lately? for more intense??

From memory Rain built the Dark shrine after a 3 Stalkers warp-in, which means he could not have spent the extra gas without extra production anyway. He didn't rebuild his MSC either.

herO cancelled his robo because he thought he needed more units, then got supply blocked when it mattered most. Had he made the right calls, he would've won the game.
