Remember when Monster went to DreamHack and trash-talked against foreigners/ThorZaIN in the pre-game interview?
Luckily for him he lost... =)

It's different if you actually watched the games and not just looked up the score sadly =/ wait, is that for me or him? lol. I missed yesterday's game but watched most of RO16. Maybe a bit too much lol. For you, Mvp's vP was really sad to watch and he wasn't really fit for fight. it's still mvp though and its still foreigners who knocked him out. Oh so viewers is all that matters? I guess we better welcome a bunch of raging pre-teens and put up with all their whine and bullshit so we can have 200k viewers like LoL or whatever... -_- I dont know what your role in esport is but I assume that pretty much any professional would agree that viewer numbers are far more important than how "friendly" the community is. My role in epsorts is a viewer and I prefer less viewers and less idiots. Did you follow the BW scene? Because then you should know why more viewers is good for everyone. It's not like Premier League only features players native to the UK, or the only basketball players in the NBA are American. No sports league worth a damn excludes worthy players based on nationality, its sort of pathetic that some people want SC2 to be the lone exception. The premier league has players of many different nations, but all TEAMS are english. Its a teamgame afterall. Where are the brazilians, germans or dutch in the english national team? (Btw, a big reason why the english national team is shit is that they don't focus on their own players ^^) Where are the european teams getting easy spots for the WC in the south pacific region? Are there NBA Teams playing in the DBL? No? What a surprise. Take a look at 1v1 sports too. If there is an european tennis championship, there will be no american players. You will be able to see koreans in WCS KR, they will probably dominate the global season finals AND the WCS finals. Why not leave the regional brackets to players from that region. Its kinda a moot point though, because there will never be complete offline events, Blizzard does not care that much to pay for all this. Its just another missed opportunity with SC2. You screwed up your own argument. Wimbledon, the French Open, US Open and Australian Open are not region locked. In fact, a British player won Wimbledon recently for the first time in 70+ years or so. Murray is only british when he wins when he loses he is Scottish

They can win the regionals. The can (and probably will even with region lock) win the season finals and same goes for the global finals. Thats 3 tournaments to (with region lock) 1. some of us kinda just want to see the best talent at an event like the Season Finals and Global Finals, if you're good enough you'll go and you deserve it. a bunch of notable Europeans failed pretty hard in the ro16 and ro8... played some shit Starcraft, and it's not like they were just unlucky. it's not like it's all that easy for a bunch of Koreans to come over and swarm the entire region finals... most in WCS EU are on European-based teams and most in WCS AM are on American teams (EG, TL...) or like Polt living and studying in the US. I don't mind not seeing a true USA representative since they're just sadly massively outclassed and it showed in the ro32 and ro16, happy to see Scarlett make it at least... but yeah if you plopped a bunch of US players into Season and Global finals it would be embarrassing, even though you'd like them to be successful. Sounds like some of you just want a "World Cup of Starcraft" but well this isn't that tournament.
