People say they want the best players to play but those games never draw. What draws is personalities and to an extent the hometown heroes. People want to watch foreigner vs Korean but for some reason that is related to regular season and the finals largely lacks that and it hurts the season finals.

You have to put it somewhat different: Qualification for FIFA World Cup (~WCS Season Final) is divided into regional qualifiers. If it would be in football as it is in WCS, European teams would spread into NA, Asia and Africa qualifier and there would only be European nationalteams at Fifa World Cup. Everyone would state that would be totaly stupid, but somehow many of the community accept it for WCS?!? Exactly , imagine IF EU teams could compete in the African region ? ..... Ah man , and we have guys here who suck up to the koreans playing on our regions ? For what ?
