I really hope Duckduck loses this round or next. Some no-name korean winning a regional would really convince a big part of the audience that WCS is totally bogus. I have always argued that it's fine for Koreans to play when you have Koreans like Polt who actually live in their regions, learned the language, and try hard to connect with their regional fans. But if a personality-less no-name Korean wins; I think most of the audience would be very pissed.

could not agree more... i can (and do) watch osl/gsl if i want koreans only.

Good point, having Koreans with personalities in each region also satisfies the part of the crowd who want high level global finals :D instead of the foreigners getting completely crushed by Koreans there, making the big final of a lesser level than WCS Korea

There should be a strict personality committee that checks each Korean for their personality before they join WCS EU. Board members on the committee would be WhiteRa, Fuzer and Bling.

Should also demand proper champagne-opening skills and alcohol tolerance to make sure there isn't a PERSONALITY OVERLOAD similar to a certain frenchman

Personality? Is it that important to you that the player does some stupid ceremony or BMs the opponent?

... Lets play Tim Tebow over Tom Brady because Tim is a "likeable" guy and a god fearing Christian...
Western culture would rather have a fun time getting negative results than getting positive results through hard work and dedication I guess.

American players, take notes. Naniwa no1 foreigner

why should only american players take notes?

Because then they might be able to get to the final 8 of their own regional finals..?

Still no EU player will win WCS EU.
In general EU scene is a bit more competitive then NA, but it would be wrong to call Nani best foreigner

Dang it, just realized the losers of the ro8-matches will play each other as well. As in, Grubby will have to face Nani probably if he loses to Vortix .
It appears I have been chosen.

I do think PvP is drastically improved from the state it was in at the end of WoL. But the last few games have demonstrated quite well why I think people are REALLY getting ahead of themselves when they say it's now the best match up. About half the time it's still rock/papper/scissors and both players staying on one base for as long as possible before doing the arms race to 200 food.

It's not going to be all-Korean until the final either, so I don't think dizzy101 has anything to worry about for today.

Oh god, I'd call low alcohol tolerance the biggest requirement :D. Did you see the all-Korean casting couch on HsC? imagine that with booze

that casting couch was amazing. I love MC at HSC

I watched the VOD with the translation subtitles earlier today, After MC beat Socke and said ezpz Seed called MC SK.BM and MC replied with: BM is the only thing you know in English LOL.

Also the vid made me really sad seeing ViOLet, such a great guy. Trying to translate/manage the other Koreans. Sad to see him having Visa issues/no team, this guy wants to be a real American.
