Because map score is a silly way to eliminate someone from the biggest tournament in Korea.
Then just play bo1.
But Bo1 is a silly, silly way to be eliminated, also. And this shouldn't be thought of as Bo1, it's a tiebreak.
I think it is better then having to play useless matches.
I don't see any useless matches. Care to explain?
Since it doesn't matter if you win 2-0 or 2-1 you might as well play 1 match.
Matches have been decided by bo3 in SC2 for 3 years and I've never heard this argument made. Why do bo7 in the finals? It makes no difference if you win 4-3 or 4-0, so you might as well just play 1 match right?
No offense but gom ro32 code s was bo1 till end of 2011..

I wish more people would give them a chance in their own event.
now they just have to take same maps like all other companys, and same format and same everythin and THEN its wcs ... as long this is just an OSL superleague and since i watch wcs, i watch gom
You've failed to understand the system. The Gom seasons of WCS are still GSL Code S, the OGN seasons of WCS are still StarLeague. It would be nothing short of a tragedy for these two iconic brands to merge into the same exact thing.
GSL system = WCS system
Just because WCS adopted a similar structure to GSL doesn't mean anything. It was made very clear at the outset that OSL and GSL were still individual things, they were just adopted into the larger WCS structure.
WCS particulary chose the GSL system. A lot of people don't agree with/ find it confusing that there are 2 different tournament systems for WCS in Korea. Drake apparently is one of them. I don't think he "failed to understand the system".
He refused to watch as long as OGN brands it as OSL, as if this was against the agreement. As for the WCS system, they are using it - 32 man premier into 8 man bracket, with the Challenger and up/down system that's tied to the GSL seasons that bracket it. They adopted to that out of necessity for being part of WCS. There is no such necessity to use Dual Tournament over RR for the ro16. That format is part of OSL's identity, and Blizzard agreed to let them retain that identity in order to promote SC2 in Korea.
If there was a similar weekly league in NA or EU that was subsumed under WCS they would be allowed to maintain their historic format where compatible also.
