I understand why Sting advances but why does ThorZaIN advance over Lucky?
I'm guessing it's cause first Sting is taken out of the picture because he obviously advances first place. Then they compare Thorzain and Lucky. Because they have the same map differential, then they go to head-to-head, which Thorzain won.

But that is actually the hard thing about this tournament. To show that you got the stamina. I bet that the players who also do some real sports have some kind of advantage here.
Or you can be julyzerg and kill all of your opponents in 7 minutes.
July such a nice guy. He did everything he could to keep MLG on schedule
Here’s the current list of Koreans with their vulnerability (according to TL) highlighted.
Arthur Daisy Lucky Stardust Sting TheSTC Gumiho Hyun Jaedong Life Squirtle* Taeja Violet
(key) Beatable Possibly beatable ”Unbeatable” Defeated *lost one set to a foreigner, but still in
Seems like the staff have got it bang on so far, the only upset been Nightend taking a BO3 match off Squirtle

So pretty much all the "easy mode" Korean's are out now. Was kind of hoping the foreigners would step it up and knock out at least 1 notable Korean. Ah well.

I've been wondering the same actually, I was certain that Lucky would advance.
Apparently, the only explanation would be that the ties are settled one at a time. Then Sting is first because of better map score, and then Thorzain is first because of head to head win. It still looks a little bit strange.

Probably some time tomorrow morning. First match at 11 AM CEST so probably an hour before or so. Sadly that means anywhere from 1-4 am for you (assuming you're in the US).
IIRC usually it's just after the last group stage so in a few minutes.
