Sounds about right.

I'm sad my prediction of 500 was wrong. I always let hope interfere with my judgements.

i doubt we'll get 375, maybe 325 for an average series, 375 if it's amazing

50 for the series, another 50 for post game discussion/whining.

that's a thousand posts of whining haha

Parting isn't KESPA.

Also funny how Mvp with broken wrists was able to roll parting with ease, and the best bw player in the world just went 0-2.

This inconsistency is a trend I've noticed in SC2, is likely because of SC2's lower skill ceiling in my opinion.

I think this is why players can beat people like Flash and Jaedong, because macro is so easy in SC2 that it's not a factor and then it comes down to coin-flips, scouting, and mind games.

This simply isn't true. People were saying it back in 2010 and it was somewhat true then but it's just complete bullshit at this point. We consistently see the superior players tear other high tier contenders apart by straight up outplaying them. Even in BW players would have bad days and upsets would happen, don't even try and rewrite history by pretending that wasn't the case.

Then cite some consistency. Even the our legendary SC2 players aren't exactly consistent. Hell, Nestea has lost to a lot of foreigners and he's a 3 time GSL winner.

Mvp maintaining a 70% win rate in GSL for like a year? Players like MKP and Nestea sticking around in Code S for pretty much forever? Life dominating every tournament over the past 6 months? Like I said, don't pretend for a fucking second that BW players were completely consistent and champions never lose games to people they shouldn't, that is a flat out falsehood. BW was plenty volatile.

And for fuck sake these are 4 top tier players, no matter who loses people will be whining about inconsistency. BW fanboys would just rather attack the game itself than admit that their heroes are maybe just not up to par.

It goes both ways though.. Protoss is under such heavy pressure before that death ball is made, its just the way SC2 is made~

This is a misnomer. Protoss can play an aggressive mid-game style, and still have a late game to transition to.

Orrrrrrr maybe Flash got outplayed?

Flash did not get outplayed in any of these games IMO. Protoss is much better in the late game than Terran, which is why Parting won game 1. In game 2, he did an all-in.

Flash lost game 1 due to his horrible ghostcontrol, nothing about imbalance.

Actually because feedback > snipe.

But that wasn't the deciding factor. Protoss having a deathball was.

And btw EMP > feedback

maybe on paper?
If you hit 2-3 Storms right, Terran army is gone. If you hit 3 EMPs right, Protoss army has reduced health, can then either move back or just clean up the rest of terran army

Flash didn't recognized the greedy build of Parting, mass tech then gateway explosion, he had quite a big window to go kill him when he had a nice army vs something like 4 zealots and 3 sentries, but if you let this window close it's too late, the 6-8 gateways chew too much 2-2 units for you to handle without mass rax.

did he? Parting went for 3gates early and flash went for the fast engeneering bay instead of more barracks, so I think there wasn't too much of a window

yeah but the 3 gates were purely "decorative", he warped nothing for a long time and cut units for 1-1 then 2-2. They would have helped had Flash been aggressive tho yes, but not sure it would have been enough. At one point Flash had like 30-40 army supply to 10 or something for Parting. Well I think, perhaps I missed some stuff.

What bothers me about builds like this, is that this isn't even close to an all-in for zerg.

edit: well now it's all in.

there goes the korea sc2 resurgence i was hoping for

it's interesting to see many comments like that. Now I'm gonna assume that what you claim is right and that the huge majority of korean SC:BW fans will just tune into SC2 when one of their heroes(e.g. Flash) is playing but then it makes me wonder about all those claims that they actually care about skill(and not about:"TROLOLOL our guys are the coolest, sexiest anyway").

I'm just shaking my head at how people can arrive at the following conclusion(I've seen it repeated here on TL quite often and I'm just assuming that korean BW fans(i.e. the resurgence you were talking about) have the same mindset, I don't actually KNOW what they are thinking):

"Our favorite heroes don't win at this new game anymore THUS the game must have a lower skill ceiling and not be as interesting to watch."

Please keep in mind that those are just some of my distant observations about the korean (ex BW) scene fans, I have never actually been to KR and talked to any of those guys.
Nothing worth having comes easy.

snipe and feedback are pretty even

it comes down to vision, snipe has higher range but you need 2 shots to kill an ht and astray ghosts have no other use while astray templars can storm clumps of bio and one shot ghosts, since parting always had way more vision than flash the ht/ ghost fight looked completely one-sided, because that's what supposed to happen if hts get close unseen, which happened all the time.

Terrans need to learn to float buildings in the late game whenever they decide to push, at least against the likes of parting.
So... what that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie
