Really confusing ;s Huk's control was totally off first 2 games, made really weird mistakes(especially that drop defense game 1), numerous bad engagements... Game 3 he got a huge advantage but he fought after killing a ton of economy(one of the harrass 101s: You will be down on army but ahead in economy so prolong next engagement as much as possible)... I thought Innovation did all right but nothing spectacular but I'm just really confused by Huk's play here. I haven't been actively watching starcraft for like half a year but I remember that he used to have good micro and such, but in all the games the micro was horrible(And you can say that losing the stalker in game 2 was just a mistake and it happens and go like "yeah I bet you never lost that" and so on but even at a mid-master level they very VERY rarely lose that stalker, maybe 5% of the time if that, and usually it's due to lack of sleep or something.). Looked forward to that and saw it had a ton of views on the MLG VoD site so i thought it'd be a good series but it ended up being... well yeah. Oh and another thing, I don't really approve caster bias like that, it's okay to cheer for someone but calling things so blatantly incorrectly in favor of the one you're cheering for makes for a very misleading cast which is very bad for new viewers("Why did he lose instantly although he was ahead? must be a luck-based game"). I don't think "maintaining excitement" is that important at all and I don't even think that accomplishes it - It just confuses new viewers and draws ridicule from knowledgeable viewers. If I'm watching a game I'm not familiar with I greatly prefer accurate analysis without the need to read in between the lines which isn't always possible due to my lack of expertise in the game(or sport) in question. Most other series were bad as well, Flash vs Bly was all right I guess but still quite meh and Flash didn't play great either. Perhaps the next day will be better but I'm a bit afraid that we are going to have to wait a few more rounds until we get to see some truly high level, evenly matched games. Oh that's another thing, I really like single elimination with Bo5. That's much better than extended series in my opinion, as all Bo5s are probably worth even more than that. As long as the seeding is intelligently done I don't have a problem with this format. | ||

Well I think we all expected closer series haha. I mean honestly Sen, Jjakji, Ret and Rain just straight up 3-0'ing the opponent is unexpected. I also would have picked them to win, but not in a clean sweep. | ||

Love that they are still doing the Picture in Picture thing, EVERY fucking tournament should be doing this already as well! Will be near impossible to catch everything in a TvX game without it. | ||
