Seeïng that i never see girls screaming or so for Flash. Or is there another player with the same popularity as Jaedong in korea (that is still playing)? Jd is most popular in kespa. Bisu 2nd, baby 3rd and flash fourth. Jd has fangirls Because he is a boss in starcraft, can sing, has swag and Reasonably attractive. Flash... Well hes just skilled.

The format is fair as long as it treats everyone equally, complaining about "fairness" is a pretty null point. It is not just video games. In sports, you have referees, injuries or just the opposition being on fire for that night. That is what makes sports so entertaining. There is always chance of upset.

He will be place in Ro48 Code A. If he wins, he continues on. If he loses, he gets sent to Code B.

The way I explain to people why I love the Olympics so much is exactly that: the only thing you can expect is the unexpected. I don't think wants to see a 31 person round robin with Bo7 matches. There really isn't such a thing as a format that is both "perfect" and entertaining.

In a 5 player round-robin group, this is the last page or two of quite a few LR threads. WCG wasn't relevant in Brood War, and I'm pretty sure you're very wrong as to how often the merits of round robin have been debated in the past, ever since Nani's probe rush and Stephano/Bratok's shenanigans at Assembly. Exactly, your examples is Nani, Stephano. Not exactly unknowns, right? And EVERY system gets discussed. You think people don't complain about Code S Format? Where player A can go 3-2 vs player B and still have player B make it thru? Double elimination and what advantage should be given to the winner? Team kills early in single elim format? Extended series? Every format has been complaint about. Just because a format wasn't used OSL/MSL, doesn't make it experimental. The OSL format Bo1 had a lot of complaints as well. Just that the hardcore BW fans just said 'well, it worked in BW.' Which isn't really a logical arguement.

It's just not elegant and satisfying enough. Aren't these kinds of discussions pretty common after most up/down groups? They are. Had Sniper and Yoda lost, I don't think anyone would have cared that much about the format.

Sad that a player like Stephano gets a free welfare seed into Code S, while Flash makes it through the Code A qualifiers, goes 3-2 in his Up and Down group, beating the guy that was 5-0, destroying every macro game he played, and doesn't advance. Horrible format. Yeah, 3-2, that's the problem. That and the fact that he didn't win in code A.

Horrible format. You realize that Kespa players who has less SC2 achievements than Stephano have gotten Code S seeds, right? Do you think Flash is blaming the format? No, he will just go back and work harder. Maybe you should cheer him on instead of whining.

I would never have watched this tournament if it wasn't for Flash and Jaedong. That's why - I at least - haven't been complaining about this arbitrary system before.
