Pros can make mistakes. Most recently I recall Violet forgetting PG in his 5th game against Parting at the Blizzard Cup. We also see players forget crucial tech like Thermal Lance sometimes.
I was thinking about that viOLet game when I posted, but the pressure of PL might force players to focus a lot more on the small details. Plus, a pro would know that their Infestors are a bit low on energy at least.
iono man, stork went an entire game without realizing his draogons didn't ahve range
Those were fun times watching stork do that against Bisu lol. "F u. I don't need range. Okay, maybe I did." How about JD forgetting glands. I wonder if I still have that gif of his face.
How about Jaedong not realizing his units were trapped in his main n_n
Anybody have a link for that? Would be fun to rewatch before the next game...

Was just outplayed by a far superior player. Very well played by Soulkey.
This. War of attrition and positioning are Brood War player's forte. He won by engaging intelligently and choosing his battles wisely. It just shows the difference between the Kespa players and the SC2 players
You know, Hero used to be a BW b-teamer.
i think you would be hard pressed to find korean sc2 pros w/o bw background, except the very young guys perhaps. Don't bring up moon, he doesnt count as he failed kinda hard :D

loool, man the day someone said ZerO was good in ZvZ.
Not in the beginning but towards the end it was him and jaedong... look at his zvz record for the last 30 or so zvz he played
There were probably like 10 zerg players better than him at ZvZ even towards the end of BW era.
ok name them that have better records them him towards the end
records records, You are praising zero who is a well known choker in ZvZ because he has good stats in which he got most of his wins off of poor ZvZers like hyvaa?
Off the top of my head, Great, JD, Calm, Effort, Hydra, Soulkey they were all better ZvZers. Historically speaking, there would be a lot more. Stats don't say everything. I would never have confidence if Zero was sent out for a ZvZ ace match.
yet the woongjin coach consistently sent him out to play zvz in PL, so much so that the number of his zvz games are equal to the number of zvt and zvps he's played put together. and let's not forget that his MSL run was on the back of zvz over hero, calm, and jd
soulkey beat chumps, zero beat champs. that's the difference between the two, even though statistically soulkey is a better player. great is like.. not even a footnote. he had a gimmicky hive rush and that was it.

Now you guys have me interested. Time to TLPD because I really didn't watch much of hybrid league after the first couple of months.
he went 9-2 in zvz in 2012
in 2010/2011 he sometimes chokes when it was zvz in the ace match and that always stuck with him even when he was beating everyone late 2011 and 2012
I looked at his last 30 matches and compared them to 15 other players including the guys the other guy listed and in fact there's substance to your claim. As the other guy said stats aren't everything. So are the matches and the important games but on paper yes he was doing quite well for what was given to him.

Are we still pretending that Kespa players are overall superior to ESF players despite a multitude of tournament occurrences that suggest otherwise?
Are we still pretending to not recognize a bait when we see one?

I was about to make a statement but I don't know which hero hes talking about. there are 3 of them but one is irrelevant to this discussion.
They mean TL' s Hero, as Hero[join] was a- teamer i think.
