Nerchio won as I expected and predicted. Congrats to him. He continues to be impressive. Well done to Bly and Mana and StarNan, all having a great tournament it appears.
Any games that people recommend I catch from Day 2? Did Apollo do anymore rapping?

How is that a premier tournament?
The player pool in 2GD tourney was so much better...LSC was also better, hell even IPL5 qualifiers(which gave 10k$ to the winner) should be a premier tournament, right?
Dreamhack Opens count as premier tournaments, it´s not their fault, that koreans did´nt sign up. 2GD-tourney was an invitational, AFAIK those mostly do not count. Also the player pool was not much better, MaNa, TLO, NE and elfi returned and Lucifronn/Ret/Kas/ThorZaiN is not much better than Nerchio/STC/Bly/Fraer for example.
The main point is Nerchio didn't have to play 1 Korean to get this win = not really much of a premier tournament win imo.
Gratz to Nerchio and all but it was probably one of the easiest premier tourny line ups in a long, long time.
Because the koreans got knocked out by other players who then got beaten by Nerchio?... "The winner didn't face any koreans, therefor not a premier tournament win" is a retarded thing to say, imo.
Sage, stc and rain are hardly big guns in korea anyway. His point is that no top korean played, and that's it.
It was missing a lot of top tier foreigners as well; Stephano, Naniwa, Thorzain etc.
Correct me if I´m wrong but DH can hardly be blamed for Stephanos absence....Also, if memory serves, Naniwa lost to Nerchio...let´s see....how much was it?? Oh yes, 5-0 about two weeks ago and has furthermore failed to win anything significant in a while so discounting him is not as "out there" as it might seem. To be fair, I do not know why Thorzain was absent (Isnt he in Korea ATM??)

Missed the first round but Mana vs Sage g2 and Nerchio vs Bly g2 pops out. And no rapping, but 2GD "roasted" Apollo, Jorosar and Redeye. :D
Just skipped through the VODs as I was working this weekend -
The best player won the tournament in the end. The overwhelming Terran failure + MVP losing GSL could be a blessing in disguise as they cancelled the recent buffs because of a Terran winning IEM - I'm not too pessimistic about it but it should be ringing alarm bells back at Blizzard HQ

The only terran failure was the weakass lineup at Bucharest and Mvp losing to the hottest ZvT player in the world.

Everything I said was speculation - As related to my IEM comment aside from Taeja at MLG what had Terran achieved before then - absolutely nothing - and the test patch went underway, we could see a pattern forming.
I wouldn't call STC weak either, he lives in the Startale house therefore trains with Parting and Squirtle and Co, just some players are notoriously weak on foreign soil than others (See Symbol's foreign record unless you describe him as weak)

Terran representation is weak outside of Korea and always has been weak.
I wouldn't call TheStC strong either. He is very erratic in results. If training with the best translated directly into results, horror and True would be bonjwas.
Symbol was never as strong as his hype suggested. His ZvP and ZvZ are nothing special. Even then, his foreign results are not nearly as bad as you are insinuating.

Funnyawkward starts at 4:10 and the 2GD segments at 8:40

Terran representation is weak outside of Korea and always has been weak.
But why is that? Shouldn't we look for reasons why terrans are so under represented in EU/NA? Terrans were dominating in KR and that got looked at. Couldn't we just have said Terran representation is strong in Korea and always has been and just leave it so we just continued to get GomTvT?
