Yea that's how I feel about the quality of games. This DH felt very underwhelming mainly because it didn't have players like Stephano, Grubby, MC, etc.

Why would Gaben be at a Lol tournament? Well Riot is a very influential company, I don't think it's that far-fetched that they managed to get the One True Gaben hand out the trophy for them.

I see. I never trusted Gaben. He's Darth Vader of esports.

How is that a premier tournament?
The player pool in 2GD tourney was so much better...LSC was also better, hell even IPL5 qualifiers(which gave 10k$ to the winner) should be a premier tournament, right?

And so the post tournament emptiness hits again. What to do? So awkward.

Dreamhack Opens count as premier tournaments, it´s not their fault, that koreans did´nt sign up. 2GD-tourney was an invitational, AFAIK those mostly do not count. Also the player pool was not much better, MaNa, TLO, NE and elfi returned and Lucifronn/Ret/Kas/ThorZaiN is not much better than Nerchio/STC/Bly/Fraer for example.

Gratz to Nerchio and all but it was probably one of the easiest premier tourny line ups in a long, long time.

Because the koreans got knocked out by other players who then got beaten by Nerchio?... "The winner didn't face any koreans, therefor not a premier tournament win" is a retarded thing to say, imo.

Sage, stc and rain are hardly big guns in korea anyway. His point is that no top korean played, and that's it.

Well obviously no tournament can be considered a premiere one if Koreans got beaten, its only premiere if Koreans own, dont You know this guys?

It was missing a lot of top tier foreigners as well; Stephano, Naniwa, Thorzain etc.

am i missing something or are you all complaining about a completely irrelevant semantic that is used on the TL site and has no barring on the tournament ?
|
It's simple. Lot of people here are angry because Nerchio is "pretty good". So they just write some cool stories only to try to downscale his achievements. Haters
The fact is Dreamhack is a major tournament and winning title means a lot.
gw Nerka!

Well i bet you that if DH would have paid seeds like MLG you would see a lot more Koreans at DH events. Dont think it has much to do with preference.

What I can tell you, seeing the event live was probably a lot more fun than seeing the stream. The games were fun and the atmosphere was amazing.
