Nop they aren't they take ages to kill colossi; void rays are way too expensive, fragile and open a huge timing attack for your opponent to kill you with it.

Maybe you're right... but I think the real factor is the army composition. Rain always seems to have the same army composition as Hero, just 20% more Colossus heavy?
To me it looks like Hero retreats a little later from battles while Rain retreats whenever he has the slightest doubt... Rain always manages to get a better army composition, it makes me want to study him (lol, as I could). Let's see if Hero can do something.

That's a pretty stupid statement considering it's HerO playing. There was just NO reason to attack there. Rain had 3 more colossi, HerO was doing harassment damage. Just tech to mothership and be fine, WHY HERO.
I laugh at all these comments about how HerO can't come back or whatever.. Are you guys watching the same games as me? They are so close! Rain has had a slight lead in both games, yes, but it's a reason they all ended up being long macro games (for pvp, anyway).

Lategame they're not. Early on phoenix are great against 1-2 colossi, but they're not going to dent 8+
Vortexes are amazing against that army, and if they trash all of their stalkers like Rain did void rays are actually somewhat viable, if you can get them out in enough numbers that a stalker warpin won't just kill them all.
