As a Starcraft fan, this really turns me off. I didn't know this until tonight. Post-BW SC fans can call me a jaded sentimentalist all they want, but at least Tasteless and Artosis were top players at one time and understand the heritage of competitive SC.
But the heritage is irrelevant to the current games. A player might have been great at BW, but if he isn't good at SC2 does it really matter going forward?
the issue here wasn't that they said a bad player was bad and we think it was rude; i'm not sure anybody really objects to that, no matter the player, although people might disagree about which players are actually bad... but acting surprised that a great rts player is getting pretty good at this rts seems misleading.
it's a stretch to call it rude, but with bw basically about to end, we're all a bit touchier than we ought to be
I like how you are at least reasonable despite our opposite opinions. Just wanted to mention that because almost everyone else (on both sides) is being so unreasonable and annoying.
