Korea is freaking small, it's tiny and insignificant compared to the rest of the entire international SC2 scene, there are more viewers that tune in to watch events then there are people that live in korea. Why would they not take care of this free money from stream viewers? Do they want to goto sponsors and say "yeah we could get an additional 1-2 million more viewers added on for your products but we don't feel like it" or something?
Mind boggling, this may just be pre-lims but I hope they cater to the enormous foreign scene in addition to the korean scene.
Korea may be small population and geography wise, it is the center of the world when it comes to SC2 talent. And while the foreign scene is big, let's not exaggerate our size that much :p
Korea has a population of 40-50 million (don't know the exact numbers). No Starcraft 2 tournament has ever broke 7 figures in concurrent viewership. We're getting bigger, but we aren't thaat big yet.

Dare to dream!
Exageration on my part, but GOM reported something like 50 million viewers last year to watch a damn video-game.
I didn't realize that OGN did not have the rights from blizzard to broadcast to international audiences, once again blizzard just not helping sc2 grow at all lol.

Oh god this just made me super sad
I really want Mvp to take some time off and heal. I'm sure it makes more sense to rest for a few months and get back to his best than continue playing at half-speed and in pain.

Well we shouldn't blame Blizz so fast. Maybe OGN just didn't want to pay much for the rights.

I find it hard to believe "we don't have permission to stream internationally" excuse. Considering how absurd it would be for such restriction which no one has ever heard of before to exist in the first place and how often these second hand information turns out to be wrong, OGN most likely just didn't care much to broadcast prelims (there were no korean cast as well).

I find this to be so much bullshit, but to each their own =p ---
Regarding no english stream yet, they obviously intend on doing one, there's clearly just a few hitches in place still. Whether that's hang overs from the original broadcast rights stuff, simply not having the right people in place for a SC2 cast, or any other number of different reasons I don't know.
Still, looking forward to the games one way or another =)

It should, we'll find out when it starts.

I'm sorry guys, I don't think you matter that much to a korean TV channel. They'll probably come to it, but foreigners are not and will probably never be OGN's priority.

LoL is bigger than SC2, and they have been broadcasting it for a longer time. Edit : it's also OGN's prime product, and likely the priority in term of investments.

Quick question:
I have a GSL Code S&A "light" pass. Will I be able to watch this in HQ?
