This is very smart of OGN to provide a twitch.tv stream, they will reach a much bigger audience just by having the twitch stream in the TL sidebar.

So there are a bunch of the top SC2 players facing off against a random handful of recently switched BW pros, none of which are Flash, Jaedong or Bisu, for whatever reason. Is this some sort of old BW tournament revamped to include SC2? Will there be BW played alongside? Is this meant to be prestigious or more of an exhibition? Why has it sneaked up so much under the radar? I'll try to tune in of I can find an english stream, but I have no idea what to expect. it's just the BW OSL changing format to be an SC2 OSL now. now BW alongside. the tournament is damn prestigious! it hasn't received much coverage but i try to get things rolling in LR threads maybe ![]() On July 16 2012 14:23 Hall0wed wrote: Yeah I definitely don't think this round needs to be covered at all. RO16 is when is when this should get interesting but doing anything before that is just overkill. edit: To the dude above, this hasn't been under the radar at all if you have been following the Korean scene. T_T i think this is exciting! there is a stream for sure; see op ![]() On July 16 2012 16:19 HolyArrow wrote: Interesting. What exactly is the definition of "streaming internationally" then? Couldn't a caster like Khaldor potentially set up his own stream and just cast from there (similar to what he's doing with the GSL vs. KeSPA Cross matches?) people do this all the time for SPL and i expect the same for OSL On July 16 2012 16:41 Talack wrote: I don't understand why there wouldn't be an english broadcast. Korea is freaking small, it's tiny and insignificant compared to the rest of the entire international SC2 scene, there are more viewers that tune in to watch events then there are people that live in korea. Why would they not take care of this free money from stream viewers? Do they want to goto sponsors and say "yeah we could get an additional 1-2 million more viewers added on for your products but we don't feel like it" or something? Mind boggling, this may just be pre-lims but I hope they cater to the enormous foreign scene in addition to the korean scene. korea is huge. Things are much different in SC2 then it was in BW. In SC2, a map can have an impact on who wins or loses. Best of 1's? It shouldn't be done. Mostly because people can just cheese in each BO1 and either win or lose and thats not fun to watch. In a BO3, majority of the time, the better play will win. Guess we'll see if they are using the edited maps like with depots at the bottom of the ramps and what not. No gold bases. they'll learn soon, it took GSL more than a year to learn ![]() they're using WCS version, ie the ones we're used to seeing in tournaments. Yes u are right, I never did,but expected the guy who got seeded and is the best player who played the game to have a less random chance to be kicked out.

Bo1 makes cheese far more risky though. in a Bo3 you can cheese game 1 to throw you opponent out. If you cheese in a Bo1 then it has to work

Well, GSL tried it before and the best players weren't necessarily getting to the later stages of the tournament. With BW it may work with the slower/longer style of gameplay, but SC2 I think needs BO3 to be fair.
