Probably not. Kespa doesn't have permission to stream internationally from Blizzard until the beginning of the OSL. Which is considered the Round of 16, apparently.

anyways, "(LIVE)스타리그 듀얼2012 시즌2" 19:30 KST 07/16 is this event, so normal broadcast.
Interesting. What exactly is the definition of "streaming internationally" then? Couldn't a caster like Khaldor potentially set up his own stream and just cast from there (similar to what he's doing with the GSL vs. KeSPA Cross matches?)
I don't understand why there wouldn't be an english broadcast.
Korea is freaking small, it's tiny and insignificant compared to the rest of the entire international SC2 scene, there are more viewers that tune in to watch events then there are people that live in korea. Why would they not take care of this free money from stream viewers? Do they want to goto sponsors and say "yeah we could get an additional 1-2 million more viewers added on for your products but we don't feel like it" or something?
Mind boggling, this may just be pre-lims but I hope they cater to the enormous foreign scene in addition to the korean scene.
I wanna see DRG go through all the way without any lost games and claim 2nd place in the finals. C'mon guys! It's an OSL so that should happen. Wait no that was the MSL. Speaking of an MSL.
The above was a joke, I honestly don't have many thoughts about continuation of legends.
If MVP plays at the level we're familiar with from 2011 I think he'll go through really well. Same with DRG (although DRG's been pretty beastial recently too).

MVP has freed himself up from the GSL to prep for the OSL only so that's in his favor while DRG has to prepare for GSL and OSL.
Bo1 is fine everyone. It's about time we shed the fear of SC2 games being short, cheesy and excessively volatile. That was true in 2010 but it's 2012 now. Imba early game strats have been nerfed, maps are enormous and the metagame has stabilized. If your favorite player is eliminated then it's because he was worse than his opponent, not because of the format.

Bo1 is also how the original OSLs were done for the group stage, I think that they wanted a similar style of tournament because (AFAIK) it is still an OSL.

Why won't he be there? His injury last I heard is getting better (he hasn't really mentioned it for a long time in interviews). He even managed to fly to Germany to play at HSC.

At HSC was where his injury manifested itself again.

Hmm.. either way, his injury never stopped him from playing at local events before. Only stopped him from travelling to IPLs and MLGs.
Someone needs to teach OSL how to run a SC2 tournament. Things are much different in SC2 then it was in BW. In SC2, a map can have an impact on who wins or loses. Best of 1's? It shouldn't be done. Mostly because people can just cheese in each BO1 and either win or lose and thats not fun to watch. In a BO3, majority of the time, the better play will win.
Guess we'll see if they are using the edited maps like with depots at the bottom of the ramps and what not. No gold bases.

Um it would be because of the format, a bo1 gives a player worse then you a might higher chance of victory. 1 cheese and if it works the "better player" loses so to speak. Makes cheese much deadlier/scarier because you know that if it works you lose the match and go to losers, there is no next map. Also there are some bad maps and some could favor one race hardcore, you get that map in a match up then again the better player may not advance.
In short I disagree with what you said. Either way hope DRG advances!

OGN doesn't have the rights from Blizzard (yet) to do international broadcasts. They do indeed care about the foreign audience, have you seen their LoL tournament? If anything, Blizzard should learn a couple of things from Riot.
Anyways, Moletrap confirmed that there would be an english stream by the RO16.

As long as Moletrap stays away from the english stream, it should be fine.
So Blizzard wants the world to come together to play SC2, but then puts broadcasting restrictions on OGN? That just seems crazy, do we know that is a fact?
I feel they are really missing the boat on opening OSL/Kespa to a whole new audience, and they arent doing good by their players who risk being shoved into irrelevance with all the great SC2 content around at the mo.
As someone said, they seem to be making all the mistakes GOM made when they started, and no English stream for this is definitely the icing on the cake.
Someone needs to tell OGN: - Make your content availabe in HQ (youtube vods still terrible) - Provide an english stream - Hype your events!!
